Radisson Hotel & Conference Centre West Edmonton

While searching for wheelchair accessible hotels in Edmonton, we came across this hotel. The price was around the same as anywhere else, but since we have stayed at other Best Western Plus hotels and had a great experience, we thought this would be the same. Right after booking the hotel on this website we phoned the hotel directly to ensure we reserved a wheelchair accessible room. The staff assured us we had. The night before our arrival I called to confirm again, and was told the only wheelchair accessible room was no longer available as it required some repairs. They would cancel our reservation with no charge. This was unacceptable as the Garth Brook concerts were this weekend and hotel rooms were at a premium if you could find one. We ended up settling for a room in which we could not get a wheelchair into the bathroom. Added to that, the hotel is under renovations, the elevator is old, and to top it off, this Plus hotel no longer offers the free buffet breakfast to it's guests. Needless to say we will never stay at this hotel again, nor would we recommend it to anyone, but especially to anyone in a wheelchair.

Liked: We are tourists, with main interest this time to attend West Edmonton Mall with children. Location was great (close to ring road) and near enough economical restaurants and shopping... and close enough to the Mall. Price was great, too!!

Disliked: It was very dirty and smelly. Light bulbs missing and pillowcases were yellow. I didn't stayed the night, I moved to a different hotel. I do not recommend.
