Modern and welcoming, the Radisson Hotel & Conference Centre West Edmonton offers a relaxed yet professional vibe perfect for travelers who want easy access to the city’s music and cultural action. Located just off Stony Plain Road, it’s a short drive from Edmonton’s top concert venues and a quick hop to West Edmonton Mall for pre- or post-show entertainment. With spacious rooms, on-site dining, and pet-friendly options, it's a great home base for a music-filled getaway.

Why Concert-goers love it

You’re only about a five-minute drive from West Edmonton Mall, which often hosts live events and gives you fast access to nearby music venues. After the show, retreat to quiet, comfortable rooms—this area is known for being more peaceful than the bustling downtown core. With check-in starting at 3:00 PM and check-out at 11:00 AM, there’s enough flexibility to suit most concert schedules. Free high-speed Wi-Fi and a 24-hour front desk add to the convenience, especially for those arriving late or winding down post-event.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends looking for fun and flexibility
- Solo travelers checking off a bucket-list concert
- Couples turning a show into a weekend escape
- Fans wanting a quiet place to recharge
- Budget-conscious music lovers who want value without sacrificing comfort

Food and Drink Options

You won’t go hungry here. Coast West Pizza and Steakhouse is located on-site and serves up hearty meals and drinks, perfect for a late-night bite after the show. If you’re craving something different, the hotel is close to a range of restaurants and bars along Stony Plain Road. While there’s no 24/7 room service, the in-room kitchenettes (available in suites) make late snacks easy. Breakfast is available too—ideal for those slower mornings after a high-energy night.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself doesn’t host live music, you’re close to Edmonton’s nightlife scene. Whether you’re heading to a bar, club, or lounge near the mall or downtown, it’s an easy cab ride away. Back at the hotel, the restaurant is a chill spot for a nightcap featuring classic cocktails and local brews.

What People Say

Guests love the clean, spacious rooms and especially appreciate the friendly, helpful staff. Many mention the location as a standout—close to shopping, concerts, and major roads. The pet-friendly policy is also a highlight for those traveling with furry companions. Reviews also mention the indoor saltwater pool as a nice way to unwind.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests note that the property feels more business-oriented than trendy, and a few mention that the hotel could benefit from a few modern updates in decor. Late-night options beyond the restaurant are limited, so plan ahead if you’re coming back hungry after midnight.

The Bottom Line

If you’re looking for a comfortable, affordable, and quiet place to stay after a concert—just minutes from major venues—the Radisson Hotel & Conference Centre West Edmonton hits all the right notes.

Poor - 1.0 out of 5

Delphine, Calgary, visiting Rogers Place Sun, 26 February 2017

While searching for wheelchair accessible hotels in Edmonton, we came across this hotel. The price was around the same as anywhere else, but since we have stayed at other Best Western Plus hotels and had a great experience, we thought this would be the same. Right after booking the hotel on this website we phoned the hotel directly to ensure we reserved a wheelchair accessible room. The staff assured us we had. The night before our arrival I called to confirm again, and was told the only wheelchair accessible room was no longer available as it required some repairs. They would cancel our reservation with no charge. This was unacceptable as the Garth Brook concerts were this weekend and hotel rooms were at a premium if you could find one. We ended up settling for a room in which we could not get a wheelchair into the bathroom. Added to that, the hotel is under renovations, the elevator is old, and to top it off, this Plus hotel no longer offers the free buffet breakfast to it's guests. Needless to say we will never stay at this hotel again, nor would we recommend it to anyone, but especially to anyone in a wheelchair.

Liked: The staff were helpful.
Disliked: The room; the hotel itself; the fact they lied about it being accessible.

Liked: Location to event we went to.Bathroom was clean in our room
Disliked: The king suite we rented from booking.com was not the room we got. Not represented correctly. The duvet cover all wrinkly as were all pillow cases, like the were left in a ball never foldedLobby hall way furniture damaged, tiles missing on elevator floor. Window in our king suite was broken- could not shut it, also seals are gone in both windows so the are filled with condensation.Hotel needs a lot of repairs and overall cleaning.

Room was great and comfortable...

Liked: The pool was very nice and we had it all to ourselves. The room was comfortable and quiet and had plenty of space to relax.
Disliked: The entrance area seemed shabby and dirty and also the elevator floor was dirty with lots of cracked tiles. The showers poolside were freezing cold so we went back to the room to warm up.
