Radisson Hotel Ames Conference Center at ISU

It was the worst place...

Liked: The breakfast was AWFUL. Yogurt and muffins… not even a good selection of that. Watery orange juice and Apple Juice. Nothing I would consider “breakfast”… barely a snack.
Disliked: The hotel was under construction which was mentioned. The pool was freezing. They mixed up our room and didn’t have it ready so we had to change rooms two days into our eight day stay. The Handicap Parking spaces were used by construction vehicles. There was a dead cricket right outside of the elevator every single day… same cricket never cleaned. We had to go get our towels and even our toilet paper because there was zero room service. They said they would adjust our bill and then, since we checked out on a Sunday, said they couldn’t because the manager wasn’t there. The pool was too miserably cold to use, and two of our five roommates opted to use a tent site rather than the room. Having health issues and being stuck in this place while under construction was hard on our bodies and our minds.

Liked: For the price I paid, it was what I expected
Disliked: I booked a room with 2 queen beds and that’s not what I was given. I was given a king size bed.

Liked: I liked the location, it was perfect location
Disliked: The cleaningless, it was NOT clean. My room was never serviced.

Best for students and parents...

Liked: The property is best located near university campus and very good for stay when you visit IOWA university for any purpose.

Convenient location, clean and decent...

Liked: Came for ISU graduation ceremony - great location.
Disliked: Prices are always hiked up during events, but we expected it and ok.

The Radisson didn’t offer a...

Liked: The property seemed to be clean and the staff was very friendly. If you like soft mattresses..you will not be disappointed!
Disliked: There was one wash cloth and 2 towels in a room designed for 8 people. There is no hair dryer in the room. The plug outlet did not work next to the bed…even though we turned the switch on. There is no toothpaste available at the shop in the lobby. Couldn’t cancel without losing money.
