A disappointment even though we...

Liked: The bed was comfortable so we slept well and the breakfast was good.
Disliked: Signage for the entrance to the car park was very confusing. Due to local roadworks it looked like the car park was closed with the result that we spent an hour driving around to find another place to park - even though it was open (we were compensated for that however). The rooftop pool at the hotel was a big disappointment. The pool itself is small and very shallow with very little room around it. The pool bar looked shut down even though the reception said it would be open. It felt like the whole area wasn't really cared for. Lastly our room was both frustrating and disappointing. It was poorly designed with simple facilities (like mirrors, plug sockets, hooks etc) being poorly positioned to make them impractical. The "open" bathroom had cheap retrofitted curtains around it making it anything but luxurious. Also the phone charging sockets next to the bed didn't work and the room has tiny little windows making it feel closed in. Overall a big disappointment. It wasn't the luxurious experience we had hoped for.
