The Spotlight on Radisson Blu Toronto Downtown

Stylish Harbourfront Stay Steps from Toronto's Top Stages

Modern, scenic, and set right on the waterfront, Radisson Blu Toronto Downtown blends urban energy with lakeside calm. With stunning views of Lake Ontario and the city skyline, this downtown hotel is a relaxed yet upscale base just a short walk from Toronto’s biggest attractions and music venues. Expect sleek rooms with workspaces, a rooftop pool (seasonal), and dining that celebrates Canadian cuisine.

Why Concert-goers love it

This location is a dream for music fans. Within walking distance of Union Station, the CN Tower, and multiple concert venues, you can skip the late-night Uber and stroll back to your room. The area stays lively late, but inside the hotel, it's surprisingly quiet – ideal after a loud night out. With check-in from 3:00 PM and a generous 12:00 PM checkout, there’s time to sleep off the encore. The rooftop pool and patio add a resort feel, perfect for a post-show wind-down.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a fun, central base
  • Solo travelers ticking off a dream concert
  • Couples planning a weekend of music and lake views
  • Fans who want a peaceful spot to recharge
  • Budget-conscious music lovers seeking value with comfort

Food and Drink Options

Concerts run late, and this hotel gets it. Café Locale in the lobby serves light bites, local beer and wine, and is a cozy place to relax any time. For mornings after, The View Restaurant on the fifth floor offers breakfast with sweeping lake views – a scenic way to refuel. The on-site Watermark Restaurant specializes in Canadian dishes made with local ingredients, perfect for a pre-show dinner. While 24/7 room service isn't listed, food options are available into the evening, and the location is surrounded by walkable dining spots.

Nightlife Options

While there’s no live music in-house, you’re a short walk from bars, lounges, and live music venues near the waterfront and in the Entertainment District. Prefer something low-key? The lobby’s Café Locale is great for sipping a local craft beer before heading out or winding down after the show.

What People Say

Guests rave about the location, calling it “perfect for exploring Toronto on foot.” Many highlight the lake views and the rooftop pool as standout features. Reviewers also mention the friendly staff and cleanliness of rooms. Fans of concerts and sports love how close it is to Scotiabank Arena and Rogers Centre.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that the seasonal rooftop pool is only open in warmer months – so don’t bank on a swim in winter. Parking can be a bit pricey, and due to its popularity, the elevators and lobby can get busy during peak check-in times. But these are minor trade-offs for the location and views.

The Bottom Line

If you want a stylish, walkable stay near Toronto’s top venues with lake views and a rooftop vibe, Radisson Blu Toronto Downtown hits the sweet spot for concert-goers.

Emy, Rochester

The hotel was clean and the rooms were nice. The bed was comfortable. We were pleased. The only thing I will recommend is to have a better signs for the hotel. We circled 3 times in the area and had to call the hotel for directions to actually find the entrance. The sign is not visible from all directions. Please correct that issue.

Radisson quality not here

Liked: L'emplacement est bien
Disliked: For $350 a night, you'd expect a perfect room and a worry-free stay. This wasn't the case. The air conditioning is deafeningly noisy, the toilet flushes intermittently during the night, and the supposedly soundproof room lets in the city noise. The spotlights don't all work in the bathroom, the light in the magnifying glass doesn't work, the liquid soap dispenser is broken and no longer has the bottle for shower gel the wallpaper is patched and peeling in places, there are traces of mold in the shower, a tile is peeling, frost is invading the fridge, and shutters are broken in places. The shower and foot spout are detached from the wall and reveal holes in the tiles. As for the pool, it's crowded and there are no free lounge chairs; people are crammed on top of each other...For a hotel of the standard of the Blu Radisson, I think it's truly shameful to find rooms like this.

Great location, ok value for...

Liked: The location is great because it’s walking distance for a concert at the arena. Being right on the water was great but we couldn’t see it from our room. Lots of restaurants and convenient stores nearby. Parking was easy; the lot is under the building.
Disliked: The pool is nice but it’s small and, because it’s busy, a little gross. But the lounge chairs were great and the staff is awesome. Great N/A options for a poolside drink. It’s a mixed bag.

Great stay, would stay again

Liked: Pool was open, drinks served there. Fantastic view of the lake. Very close to a few great restaurants on the front. Fantastic view of the sky tower and only 5 minutes from the Rogers centre
Disliked: Pool is very small and a lot of chlorine in it.
