Radisson Blu Hotel Hamburg Airport

We would certainly use this...

Liked: Everything went well.
Disliked: Service in the bar area could have been slicker.

4 star hotel with 2...

Liked: Very close to the airport terminal, clean and spacious room which has all the items expected of a hotel with this reputation.
Disliked: The night reception staff did not smile or greet me upon arrival, nor did he offer any information regarding check-out time or breakfast availability until I asked. As a weary traveller arriving near midnight, I would have appreciated and expected a more welcoming and informative reception from a hotel of this reputation rather than a detached interaction.

Exceptional

Liked: The Concierge at our time of checking in was very friendly. He made us feel very welcome. Our room was very nice.
Disliked: The person who accepted our key cards at checking out, was not personable and was very indifferent.

Liked: Nice beds
Disliked: Breakfast was terrible, everything empty. No plates, cups, coffee machine broken. At one point there were no eggs, bread, rolls, juices, bacon.

Disappointing for three people; third...

Liked: Next to the airport, quiet, good double bed, good breakfast
Disliked: It was very disappointing that the third bed was a foldable camping bed. It was too short for an adult. For a Raddisson Blue hotel we expected a normal bed. This was a double room with a camping bed added.Parking is expensive.

Superb

Liked: Reception staff were great.Bed super comfortable.A step away from terminals 1 and 2.
Disliked: The price of the restaurant (and the noise because instead of opening new section they had us seat with families - crying babies)

Not worth the money

Liked: The staff at the front desk were very helpful.
Disliked: Everything was overpriced. 4euro for a small bottle of water and 3 euro for a kinder beuno. All of the snacks from the lobby shop were significantly overpriced. The resturant was also overpriced 4 euro for a 200ml bottle of coke, 36 euro for a ribeye and you have to buy the fries separate at 9 euro for a cup full and a further 7 euro for peppercorn sauce. It's ridiculous. I travel often and it's easily the most expensive hotel I've stayed in.Further to that, the double bed is just two single beds pushed together, the strip thats put along the middle doesn't made it a double bed, you can only sleep on one side so I may as well have been a single bed anyway.The tv didn't work in the room and the room wasn't cheap at all. The front staff didn't even ask me how my stay was when checking out, I didn't get a chance to provide feedback.
