Superb

Overpriced and Disappointing -

Liked: The location was great and the staff were very friendly and efficient during room service and when i requested a porter upon check out. The library restaurant was lovely.
Disliked: I waited for about 15min before i was assisted with check in. I was also confused that i needed to ask someone to assist with my luggage? The room (room 523) was large but old and in desperate need of refurbishment - very disappointed as i had high expectations. The suite that i booked had a terrace but there was no clear indication that the terrace was a closed off concrete space - no view of the city or life (felt a bit like a prison)- if i had known that there was absolutely no view i would have opted for a room without a terrace but a window that i could see life. The bathroom was tiny and extremely dated. The carpets were stained and furnishings extremely worn. The room was definaely not cleaned well as there was dust and stains on glass and wood furnishings. Would not choose to stay here in future as this is more of a 3/4 star in terms of accommodation compared to places like the London Shard which i have experienced. The rest of the hotel, reception areas, restaurants etc. were beautiful. The room i stayed in was a true disappointment.

Liked: The staff front desk was great ,but the room service very poor I ordered coffee and water morning! the guy told me it?s going to take 30 minutes to get to you I was surprised but I said ok . The coffee never came .

Exceptional

Liked: Great location, room quality.
Disliked: Shower over bath had small screen so water everywhere. Bathroom was large so plenty space for a better solution. Restaurant had been refurbished and is not as impressive as it was.

Overall 9/10

Liked: Breakfast was lovely and the spa/pool/Gym was excellent.
Disliked: On the photos of our room to be it showed a jacuzzi bath but when we arrived it was just a basic bath.
