The Spotlight on Radisson Blu Edwardian Bloomsbury Street

Modern Comfort Just Minutes from Soho and Covent Garden

Radisson Blu Edwardian Bloomsbury Street is a stylish 4-star hotel set in the heart of London’s buzzing West End, just a short walk from Covent Garden, Soho, and Oxford Street. With a sleek, contemporary design and inviting atmosphere, it's a popular base for music lovers heading out to gigs around central London. You'll also find the British Museum just steps away, and the hotel is well-connected via Tottenham Court Road and Holborn Tube stations.

Why Concert-goers love it

Its unbeatable location near major live music venues like the O2 Academy Islington and the West End theatres makes it a go-to choice for fans. With the Elizabeth Line and multiple Tube stations within a 5–8 minute walk, late-night transport is a breeze. The hotel offers a flexible check-in from 15:00 and a quiet post-show vibe that’s perfect for winding down after a big night out.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends heading to a nearby gig
  • Solo travelers catching a must-see artist
  • Couples planning a music-filled weekend getaway
  • Fans looking for a peaceful retreat after the encore
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who still want a taste of luxury

Food and Drink Options

The on-site Bloomsbury Street Kitchen serves up Mediterranean and Japanese small plates in a lush, plant-filled setting — ideal for a pre-show bite or post-concert debrief. While there’s no 24/7 room service, the hotel bar and nearby eateries provide late-night dining options. Breakfast is available, perfect for those who danced the night away.

Nightlife Options

You're just a short walk from Soho’s nightlife, featuring everything from live jazz spots to buzzing cocktail lounges. The hotel’s own bar offers a more relaxed vibe with expertly crafted cocktails and local flavors — ideal for winding down after a show.

What People Say

Guests love the central location, praising how easy it is to get to top music venues and attractions. Reviews often highlight the hotel’s elegant design, comfortable rooms, and the attentive staff. Many mention how surprisingly quiet the rooms are, given the bustling neighborhood.

Areas for Improvement

Rooms can feel a bit compact for those traveling with lots of luggage, and the hotel doesn't offer on-site parking (though there’s discounted parking nearby). Also, while the restaurant is excellent, room service isn't 24/7, which may be a downside for late-night snackers.

The Bottom Line

Radisson Blu Edwardian Bloomsbury Street is a top pick for concert-goers who want upscale comfort, unbeatable location, and easy access to London’s best music and nightlife.

Poor

Disliked: There was a portable air conditioning unit which was insanely loud so could not be used during the night. The tv also didn’t work and lost the picture all the time.

Terrible

Liked: Location
Disliked: I have stayed here many timesBut last time they gave me a bottle of champagne to compensate for the restaurant manager refusing to serve me and accusing me of not paying for my room! Which I had! This time on the first morning I spoke to reception as1. The air con wasn’t working and it was boiling in the room2. We were only given one pillow 3. No shower gelThe guy said if they couldn’t repair the Aircon, we would be able to move Room. When we got back in the evening, no oneOn the desk knew anything about this and the guy gave us a desk fan!I spoke to the reception and - she said the manager was in a meeting but she would give me 25% off - she said he would phone me later. Later I was offered 30% off the first night. She kept going to speak to the line manager who I could see in the back room behind reception. She said he couldn’t help me.They have promised the manager will call but 7 hours after the first promise I don’t hold out much hope. This hotel is badly run with dirty carpets, rudeStaff in the bar, no air con etc I WOULDAVOID!

Good location and room size....

Liked: We loved the location, it was close to the tube and lots of food and places to walk around.
Disliked: Air con wasn’t working and it’s July, did ask about it and was given a fan without asking which was nice but If we were in the room longer this would have been a huge issue as it got really hot at times. Room also had a mini fridge which wasn’t working so we were left with a warm room and warm water which isn’t really ideal at all for a stay. Did speak to staff and they said they might be able to change our room on night 2 but nothing came of it.

Wouldn’t stay in a radisson...

Liked: Not much
Disliked: Upgraded to a premium roof for extra money but didn’t get a premium room. Queried on checkout to be told it was one of the small premium rooms but it was worse than other friends we had staying in a normal room so definitely don’t pay extra for a premium room.I was told on checkout they would refund the upgrade fee and 20% of my initial booking to which I’m still waiting for a month later and after numerous emails. It is basic misrepresentation and false advertising and they clearly don’t do anything to recompense for this other than ignore
