Blu Aqua was decent

Liked: Nice pools, great location.
Disliked: Room, especially bathroom could have been cleaner. Baseboards and walls around toilet was dusty and obviously had not been wiped in some time.

We had a great time,...

Liked: The outdoor track is very nice and the pool was excellent. Great location. In-room dining options were reasonable and tasty without insane upcharges, only a modest delivery fee.
Disliked: That there was no mini fridge in the room was frustrating. You could call to have one brought to you, but that is a hassle. The mini bar being sensor-based and having a hefty restocking fee if you use it as a mini-fridge was also annoying, and a source of constant stress that my kids would move the Pringles in some crazy kid game (or maybe eat them). And, whereas the room service options were reasonable, the mini bar prices were far too high to use it and added to the stress that the kids might jostle it wrong and end up tripping the sensors and costing us a small fortune. Also, when we checked in at 4:30pm and throughout the evening we encountered several other parties of guests checking in or trying to whose rooms were not ready. Some said they weren't able to check in till 6pm. Thankfully this did not happen to us and we had great service, but it's not something I had ever heard of and set an odd tone for the first day of the trip that may have made me more critical of the hotel than our specific stay deserved.

Good location, great room

Liked: Location
Disliked: Slow service at check in, no answer when you call front desk, went to desk twice asking for towels as we didn't get enough in room for everyone and it took hours to receive. Elevators slow

Comfortable, relaxing couples stay for...

Liked: I love the fact that I had two pools two hot tubs. I love the lobby the bathroom. I love the blue stuff and it was close to everything. The customer service. The shower was everything the room was nice. Love the sauna the same room the workout on the game room
Disliked: I did not like the fact that the indoor hot tub did not work and I did not like the fact that around the indoor pool it needed to be scrubbed and clean. It was dirty and I did not like the parking was real tight and I did not like it did not have a refrigerator or a microwave in the room when we bought food back from being out all night And I felt like when we went down to go eat breakfast the chairs was like outdated that we were sitting at and it was torn up, I did not like the fact that we had to pay for parking staying @ hotel. I felt like that should’ve park. been free And the fact that we couldn’t take the vehicle in & out. was not in our budget I feel like if you pay for two day parking it should’ve been free going in and out. And windows also need to be clean. I need to hire a window cleaner because our window was very dirty.

Spend your money somewhere else.

Liked: The hotel lobby and hallways were clean and modern. The staff was nice.
Disliked: Overall, we thought that our room was extremely overpriced for what we got. The room had cracks in the ceiling. Holes in the walls. Killed multiple spiders throughout our stay. The shower head was disgusting. Bath tub disgusting. Paid for a park view, was only able to see the pool and fire department. Went down for a drink at the restaurant, we waited 15-20 minutes for someone to come to our table. Another 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive. Management did reimburse us $25 from our $37 bar tab. Compared to many other hotels we have stayed at in Chicago, this place is a no-go unless you like wasting money.

Great location and the pool...

Liked: Convenient location. The pool area is great! Hot tub should be updated.
Disliked: Pool towels were more like hand towels. Teeny! The hotel could definitely upgrade the towels. Everything is locked up and only accessible by key, so not sure if there is a concern of towels disappearing.
