Not worth the money

Liked: The pool area was nice, it was clean
Disliked: The room service was terrible, food was delivered cold, very over priced for what it was, the ice maker was broken on the floor, people were playing music on their own speakers at the pool, one of the hot tubs was closed and the other had so many kids in it all day and night. It was very noisy, beds were not comfortable. They squeaked every time someone moved, the bathroom door doesn't close all the way so you can hear everything. Still haven't received my final bill and we checked out 4 days ago.

Pleasant

Liked: Great location to the places we wanted to experience. 2nd time at this hotel. 1st time was great.
Disliked: We called guest services to inquire about getting some additional towels sent to the room. We had tip $$ ready. Called twice. 2nd call on hold for over a half hour. Put in our request, and no one showed up. Front desk called and asked if any had come to deliver. NO DELIVERY had been made. We went to the front desk the next morning and spoke with Jasmine. She was a wonderful and took our information as she did not hearing about our experience. When we returned to the room there was a trah bag with towels in it hanging on our door know. We paid over $1000 to stay here for 2 nights. Not what I expected for the money I spent.

Big City Hotel right next...

Liked: Loved the outdoor seating on the 3rd level with the outdoor pool, hot tub, and walking track. The landscaping and furniture are lovely. There are various seating areas so you can find privacy or be available to meet new people. There was also a fire pit area which was nice. The view is amazing especially at night when all the lights come one.
Disliked: The bed was ultra squeaky but comfortable. I would recommend that they fix the squeakiness. There is very little to dislike about this hotel. The staff and location are premiere.

Well positioned, but expensive.

Liked: The City of Chicago was wonderful and the Hotel well positioned.
Disliked: But the hotel was extremely expensive. We were unable use the fridge as it was the mini bar, and if you touched anything in the fridge, you were charged. Plus no ICE machine, and there was no in room coffee or tea offered. Also, there is no hotel parking. The self parking used by the hotel was an extra $60 per day. This was the most expensive hotel we encountered on our 28 days travel across America.

Gorgeous amenities but cleaning and...

Liked: The pool is gorgeous and the locations wonderful
Disliked: The floors were clearly never cleaned thoroughly, my white socks got disgusting from walking around the room for 20 minutes after checking in. The elevators are painfully slow. The staff was very rude when I asked for pool towels, there were none at the pool, and they wouldn’t give me any. I ended up walking back from the pool to my room and never having a chance to dry off

Swanky downton, high rise off...

Liked: Great location off the Park and near the river and Lake Michigan, swanky feel and decor, fully stocked mini bar in the room, on site parking garage
Disliked: Ice maker on our floor wasn't working, but they did send housekeeping up with fresh ice for us, no fridge for our own personal items, not too much privacy in the bathroom, overall the stay was expensive when you add in parking.
