Pleasant stay in Helsinki
Liked: The breakfast was awesome! The location was perfect. The room was quiet and included a refrigerator and safe. The staff were exceptional.
Disliked: It was difficult to prevent flooding during and after showering. I was here for touring, but there was a very limited choice of channels to see on television. It would be nice to have a snack and drink machine in the hotel, since most places in the area close 9 - 10 PM

Great hotel with character in...
Liked: I liked my room a lot. Albeit on the smaller side, it was very comfortable and a great bathroom Loved having a fridge in the room. The bed was very comfortable and the outlook to the courtyard was nice and quiet.
Disliked: No much to not like at the hotel. The only drawback was that there was no inhouse restaurant for lunch or dinner, however the property recommended a number of nearby restaurants

Probably my go-to hotel in...
Liked: Best hotel experience ever. I had never visited a Radisson Blu before, but had stayed in similarly priced hotels, but this one was really great. Firstly, the staff was super welcoming and friendly. They asked smart questions and even offered free baggage storage for our final day after checking out, which saved us a lot of hassle. There was water and candy available in the lobby and the atmosphere was all around really nice. The hotel itself looked clean and quite upscale inside. The room was we expected - a nice bed, some room to store our things. You could make tea, coffee and cocoa (nice touch!) in the room. The air conditioning was superb - it was barely noticeable (no wind) even though it was 30 degrees outside. The breakfast was wonderful - lots of well thought out options, fresh juices and personal omelettes to top it off. Everything was just a bit better than we expected. The location is great for discovering central Helsinki. It is a 40 minute walk from the ferry, but close to the shopping centre district. The street is a quiter one. There are lots of different places to eat in the area and some grocery stores as well. Our favourite local attraction was the Arkade bar just around the corner - a place for gaming, board games and hanging out for like 5-10 euros depending on activity. All in all a great experience and well worth it even considering the mid-table price.
