Located just 12 minutes' drive from the center of Surfers Paradise this 100-hectare resort is set on a 27-hole championship golf course with driving range. Guests can choose between 5 restaurants. Opened in April 2016 children can enjoy the new water park area boasting 3 waterslides a separate toddler's pool and various water activities. Guests at RACV Royal Pines Resort can unwind in the outdoor lagoon pool with timber decking and children's slide. There are also 5 tennis courts a fitness center children's playground and a new Day Spa. Refurbished conference facilities are also available. All rooms are spacious and include individually controlled air conditioning cable TV and a mini-bar. Tea/coffee making facilities are provided. Most rooms also have a balcony. RACV Royal Pines is less than 5 minutes' drive from Metricon Stadium. Wet'n'Wild Water World and Warner Bros Movie World are both 20 minutes' drive away. Dining options at Royal Pines Resort Gold Coast range from a family-friendly Italian restaurant to traditional Japanese dining. Guests can enjoy light meals and drinks by the poolside.

Superb

Liked: On arrival we were given a complimentary glass of wine making us instantly feel on holiday, the room was amazing. Golf course was great fun, the restaurant for dinner was delicious.
Disliked: The buffet breakfast was a little sad. We got there really early thinking everything would be fresh but the eggs etc were cold, and there wasn't much options compared to other ones we've had at other places.

Very pleasant

Liked: Staff were all exceptional. Japanese restaurant was lovely food
Disliked: Parking was an issue. Both availability and distance to walk. There was a conference on so maybe it is not always this bad.

Could have been better

Liked: The room is nice. The view is awesome. Bed comfortable. Nice Hotel.
Disliked: For a 5 star hotel, you expect more.- "Heated pool" (heated between 24 & 26 degrees), that is NOT true. Do not go at night, as you will be freezing. Went to the "spa" one and did not enjoy it.- You basically need to pay for everything. I was surprised that not even 1 movie was free to watch. Come on, you can do better for the rates that you are charging.- Bathroom does NOT have a fan or ventilation for when you take a shower or someone takes a dump.- "Free ice", sure if the machine works. They have 5 of them spread across different floors. Guess what? Only 1 of them worked. Also, the sign "call dining room for ice" is wrong. They told me to go and look for a floor where the machine works. Keep that spirit up :)- You need to put a brush in the toilet.- Would not kill someone to put one more blanket.- Scan a QR code for the minibar. Really?
