Liked: We did not eat there so cannot comment on that aspect
Disliked: The stairs were a bit of a problem as I am not very mobile and, although I managed to climb the stairs, it took me quite a while to get up them.

Liked: Use this hotel often. Easy reach of town, and plenty of parking
Disliked: My shower was back to front, cold was hot.However once reported the staff explained and they also put a note on the shower for future visitors

Disliked: Could do with blackout curtains, room is very light when the sun is up

Friendly family hotel, was just...

Liked: Accommodation was in a large and comfortable double room, with ensuite bathroom. We were attending a Pie-Making course at Brocklebury's and Bertha very kindly offered to put our "wares" in a refrigerator overnight so as not to spoil before setting off the next morning.
Disliked: We booked through booking.com and there was a bit of a mix-up about the rooms that I had requested, but that was put right with a phone call directly the hotel itself.

Disliked: The TV in the room did not work, and it was very cold, the curtain rail was coming off, the shower head would not stay in position for us to shower we had to hold on ourselves and the breakfast room was also cold, so cold my nose began to run.
