Liked: The place reminded me of the title of Thomas Hardy‘s novel far from the Madding crowd. The place was beautifully laid out. The food was lovely. The location was splendid. Sarah was the host Par excellence. We had a beautiful breakfast. We had beautiful guests that we chatted with from all over the world. The location is excellent with the river nearby and the lovely surroundings of having it right there in the heart of Kern County. The overall experience was absolutely wonderful and we promised Sarah that we would visit her other location in San Diego in Juliane. We thoroughly recommend it ! thank you so much for a lovely visit and so peaceful.
Disliked: My problem with the property was that I wanted to stay there for weeks on end. I will get back as soon as I can.

Liked: Quiet Mind Lodge really lived up to our expectations. Sarah the manager was a wonderful host, so friendly and welcoming! She also prepared a wonderful dinner and breakfast. We had a lovely swim in the creek and enjoyed the calm. Was just what we needed. Thank you Sarah!

Liked: Sarah was an absolutely amazing host, no task was too big for her, from recommendations on activities to do to running around making sure every guest's experience runs smoothly. She helped fix the light in our room and one night we observed her cook half a dozen meals for guests, then she'd be up the next morning bright and early for checkout, basically running the place herself and still with a brilliant smile on her face. She is truly a miracle worker, and her breakfasts and dinners were delicious. Thank you so much Sarah for the amazing stay. Would not hesitate to recommend this place!

Disliked: It’s easy to think being in “sequoia national forest” and only 80 or so miles away from the Sequoia National park that you’d be able to get there in an hour or so, but it’s actually closer to a 4 hour journey! (I also saw a snake in the river which I could have sworn wanted to kill me but I guess that’s nature
