Liked: This review is not for the booked hotel the Quentin Berlin Hotel am Kurfürstendamm, instead Quentin hotels transferred me to their hotel in Potsdamer Platz, actually Potsdamer Strasse 76 (nowhere near Postdamer Platz). The room, well appointed and quiet. friendly helpful staff. Good points end there though.
Disliked: Originally booked for the Quentin hotel near Adeneurplatz, transferred here as it was under renovation, I'll say allegedly as it seems to happen to a lot of people. Location is nothing like the description, quite a seedy area with a lap dancing bar next door and a lot of sex shops, seems to be on the edge of the red light district. Hotel bar is never open, contrary to their website description it is not within minutes' walk for any decent bars, and restaurants, unless you count Burger King and Dominoes as such, but a good little Dalmatian restaurant close by with a basic menu, you'd not want to wander too far from the hotel on foot after dark. I've felt safer in Johannesburg....Did not book breakfast but did not bother as the hotel seemed to be basically room only, and for €20.00 doubted it'd be good given the overall impression of the hotel.Room servicing was non existent even though the make up my room request was left on, so ran out of coffee etc after the first day.Overall, overpriced and If Quentin Hotels inform you that you have been transferred here cancel the reservation and find somewhere else in a better part of town, you will not regret it.
