Hotel comfortable and in a good location, especially if visiting the Dome. Staff friendly, hotel clean and nice sea views.

Liked: The facilities in the main hotel appeared to be OK, the breakfast particularly was enjoyable. Great location, obviously.
Disliked: The apartments (separate building) were completely unacceptable.

Disliked: Bedroom was a little cold but we were given a lovely heater for our room (within 20mins of asking).

A little "Tired" but Fabulous...

Liked: We just spent my Birthday Weekend at the Queens:Whilst the Old place may be a little "tired" in places, the friendliness and down right helpful; cheerfulness of All of the staff is a credit to the Management, and or their staff training regime.Our room was clean and spacious, fab Sea View. Bed was pretty comfy and the room all round overall was great.It isn't 4/5 star, but it could be with a lot of money spending on refurbing furniture, decor etc.Breakfast was Self Service but of a good standard, enough variety, unless you're uber fussy!But what made it for us was the pleasant, helpful and courteous nature of all staff members. The little touch of a birthday card, a hand written note from our room maid meant a lot. TY.

Nice staff, good location but...

Liked: The staff were awesome. Really helpful and accomodating. Couldnt fault them
Disliked: The price for the room is terrible. The room was big but thats not really a priority. There is no aircon and no way to open the windows. The tiny deskfan provided is not enough to offset how hot it gets. And we stayed beginning of april! I shudder to think what it would be like in the height of summer. The bed was very dated and dipped in places, and moved very easily revealing the dust and dirt under the bed. All of these things would be fine but for £350 per night that just isnt up to scratch. We also asked for a quiet room as I was running the marathon the next day. We were on the second floor and all we could here was the bass thump of a nearby club or bar. And I sleep with earplugs!!
