Decent room. Bu grumpy staff...
Liked: The room was clean and well stocked we liked the espresso machine.
Disliked: The staff were very unhappy, downright grumpy in the morning and a row was going on between them during breakfast. Our shower didn’t work unfortunately. The pub itself needs a good clean, tables were so sticky they left our arms sticky after sitting having a drink

Good value for money
Liked: Lovely clean room with comfortable bed. Nespresso and tea making facilities. breakfast included in price.
Disliked: Noisy in the morning even though only eight rooms. Staff at breakfast were a bit offish.

Have stayed there before. Great...
Liked: The room no.7 was excellent , clean bright, well decorated, well equipped , everything working except the Tv remote (only one battery, which I discovered after midnight) . Extremely comfortable bed and linen. Fan, biscuits , Neopresso, kettle ironing board, iron , lamps etc . Great room.
Disliked: The rooms are above a pub, which they advise you in advance . No problem there. though I was in the bar at about 2130, when, I think, some of the staff brought back a very loud drunken tiresome Irish guy who thought he was everyone’s entertainment . Bored, I went elsewhere . But then ……, breakfast . Advertised from 0800 -1000, I went down about 0900. After about 10 mins of nothing, I found a cleaning lady who went into the kitchen. What followed was a lady wearing a black hoodie with “Leavers22”. She wandered about , shouting and swearing about how someone had gone to the shop who she would have words with, and how she couldn’t cook and be out front . Eventually she stopped, raised her eyebrows and said “what” . Should have said “lose the attitude for a start “ but said “Breakfast? “ .She glowered at me and said “yes?” I said what are the options , she said curtly “on the table”. Which they were , as the pub does food all day long, I didn’t realise the BnB utilised the same . So I ordered the full English . Got barely toasted bread, with no butter, bacon that was edible but in strangely writhing shapes like a bonsai tree. Then as the waitress brought requested butter, I had to remove a piece of the sausage from my mouth. I literally could not bite through it . I am 70 but do not know how you can do that to sausages, it wasn’t frozen , dried, it was like fossilised! I asked the waitress, who witnessed the whole thing , if they were dinosaur sausages, but she unsurprisingly didn’t know what to say. I think the whole staff were afraid of this tyrannical chef woman . No replacement or apology was offered, but the whole stay was ruined by her attitude and performance.

Good
Liked: Great location, right by train station and near to the beach. Room was comfy and a good size.
Disliked: Breakfast was hit and miss. Stayed for 3 nights. Each morning we had to wait at least 20 minutes for food to come out even when just ordered a croissant. Quality ranged from burnt pancakes to pretty decent Full Enflish.

Nice renovated room above a...
Liked: Pleasant room, nicely renovated so that it felt more like a hotel room than traditional pub accommodation. Nice ensuite bathroom with a good shower. Staff were nice, and breakfast was excellent: freshly cooked full English breakfast included in the price (and other options on the menu to order too). So much better than a buffet. Parking was also convenient - although there is no parking attached to the pub itself, there is a public carpark just across the street for about £5 a night or so. We ended up using the Sainsbury's carpark using the JustPark app for a similar price, and it was also very close and convenient, and felt safe - we had a car full of stuff and left it overnight with no problems.
Disliked: The bed felt small for two people, so we didn't have the most restful night. It was also quite noisy in the room because of live music and people in the pub downstairs, but to be fair they did warn us about that in advance, and it's to be expected when staying above a lively pub on a Saturday night.
