Queen City Inn

The rooms are older and show their age but you have to understand that you get what you pay for. I got a fantastic price on the room so I wasn't expecting the Hyatt Regency. It was clean and everything worked. Even though it was a non-smoking room, when we first went in you could still smell cigarette smoke. I probably won't stay there again and will foot the extra coin for a newer establishment. But if your looking for a basic room (although showing its age) at a cheap rate, then I'd recommend the Travelodge in Bangor ME.

Good staff but not a...

Liked: The night guy was great but I felt bad that he was the only one working. He was in charge of picking people up from the airport, checking people in and everything else.
Disliked: As a single woman, it was scary. There was a small chain lock and didn’t feel very safe. The room smelt like mold, there were stains on the carpet and also on the comforter. The walls were droopy and could see water damage. There was even something sticking out of the ceiling. Maybe mushroom? The shower has no pressure and looked dirty. I won’t be staying here again. The breakfast was also just a waffle maker and the space looked dirty. I didn’t eat there.

Good price and location, and...

Liked: We had an excellent stay, all of the staff were wonderful. We did have an issue with a smell in the room which did turn out to be cat pee on one of the beds. We didn’t actually realize that’s where it was coming from until we were ready to check out, but did report it just as a heads up. The girl working was wonderful, she came right to our room and took photos to show the manager. Will definitely stay here again

Disliked: , The first time I was here 3 years ago maybe. The room was fantastic. This time this room was very unsatisfactory. Dirty, hair and crumbs all through bathroom floor, shower all the way around Sucked. Water temp flexuated, knobs need some replacing, the bottom of the tub, I. don't even know what to say. Holes semi fixed in many walls, scum in/around the sink drain. Which your cleaner need to understand that the newer sink plugs unscrew so you can clean under them, For 1 person for $150 for the night, I would have expected a bit better. Most of all Clean.. Definitely Disappointed this time.. I will be back, but I will truly be very upset if it is a Repeat of this time

Disliked: When we stayed there, there was a little old lady that was rummaging through all the food at breakfast. she would get up, pick something (multiple items) out go back to her seat, do whatever with them then bring them back and put them back in the plastic baggies they came in. No body seemed to care about that, which is a big sanitary concern. I only grabbed things that was prepackaged by an out boarding facility, I didn't dare grab anything that was placed in a sandwich bag due to not knowing what that lady could have done with them. I think the staff should be more attentive to the breakfast bar. this is how germs/viruses are spread and is definitely a major heath concern. The room was okay; there was trash left on the floor from the previous people.
