The Spotlight on Queen City Inn

Affordable Comfort Close to Bangor's Live Music Scene

Queen City Inn is a no-fuss, budget-friendly stay located just minutes from Bangor’s main attractions and music venues. With clean, well-equipped rooms, free WiFi, and thoughtful extras like a free airport shuttle and 24/7 front desk service, it’s a great base for concert nights and quick getaways.

Why Concert-goers love it

This hotel’s biggest win is its proximity to Cross Insurance Center—only 2.3 miles away—making it a quick drive or rideshare after the show. You’ll also appreciate the free airport shuttle (just 0.6 miles to Bangor International Airport), plus the express check-in for an easy arrival. Though not a party hotspot, the Inn offers a quiet place to crash after a high-energy night.

Who this Hotel is great for

Perfect for groups of friends traveling on a budget, solo fans catching a favorite act, and couples looking for a simple stay during a music-filled weekend. If you’re someone who values peace and quiet after the encore, this is your spot.

Food and Drink Options

While there’s no restaurant on-site, every room comes with a microwave, coffee maker, and fridge for late-night snacks. A continental breakfast is available to get you going after sleeping in. Nearby diners and casual eateries are just a short drive or delivery order away.

Nightlife Options

Queen City Inn isn’t about the nightlife itself—but it’s well placed for accessing Bangor’s downtown bars and lounges. After enjoying a show, head back for a quiet night in or hit up a local pub just a few minutes away.

What People Say

Guests like the friendly and helpful staff, the clean rooms, and the value for money. Many highlight the easy access to the airport and concert venues, as well as the overall quiet location despite being near major roads.

Areas for Improvement

The décor is more basic motel than boutique, and some travelers mention that the continental breakfast is fairly minimal. There's also no elevator, so pack light if your room is upstairs.

The Bottom Line

Queen City Inn is a simple, affordable choice for concert-goers who want convenience, comfort, and a solid night’s sleep after the show.

Todd, visiting Maine Savings Amphitheater

The rooms are older and show their age but you have to understand that you get what you pay for. I got a fantastic price on the room so I wasn't expecting the Hyatt Regency. It was clean and everything worked. Even though it was a non-smoking room, when we first went in you could still smell cigarette smoke. I probably won't stay there again and will foot the extra coin for a newer establishment. But if your looking for a basic room (although showing its age) at a cheap rate, then I'd recommend the Travelodge in Bangor ME.

Liked: You get what you pay for.

Superb

Liked: It was clean and quiet. Dated but they had workers renovating it looks like. I was pleased with the room as it is just for sleeping and the beds were good.

It did what I needed...

Liked: Convenient to Bangor and surrounding area. Cost was good. Room was clean but the bathroom needs work.
Disliked: This is not a 5 star hotel so I wasn't expecting breakfast in bed. But the breakfast wasn't exactly their main selling point either. The bathroom shower was touchy at best and you had to work it to get the right temp. It could be a child hazard if a parent wasn't looking.Just a heads up.
