The Spotlight on Quarter House

Classic French Quarter Charm with Modern Comfort

Set in the heart of the French Quarter, Quarter House blends historic New Orleans charm with the comforts of a modern suite stay. Just steps from Bourbon Street and a short walk to iconic venues and attractions, this all-suite hotel offers a relaxed atmosphere with spacious accommodations featuring full kitchens, cozy seating areas, and thoughtful extras like a CD/DVD player for winding down after the show.

Enjoy the convenience of free WiFi, a refreshing outdoor pool, and a continental breakfast before heading out to explore or recover from a night of music-fueled fun.

Why Concert-goers love it

Quarter House is just a few blocks from Bourbon Street and within walking distance of several major concert halls and live music venues. The location means you can stroll home after the encore without worrying about transportation. Plus, the hotel’s suites offer a quiet retreat despite being in the action-packed French Quarter — great news for those who value a peaceful night’s sleep after a show.

Flexible 4:00 PM check-in gives you time to arrive and settle in before heading out, and the early 10:00 AM check-out works well for travelers with early flights or road trips.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends who want space to hang out pre- or post-show
  • Solo travelers checking off a dream artist in a legendary music city
  • Couples looking for a romantic weekend surrounded by live jazz and culture
  • Fans wanting a quieter post-concert recovery space just off the action
  • Budget-conscious music fans who want value without sacrificing location

Food and Drink Options

While there’s no on-site restaurant, each suite’s fully equipped kitchen makes late-night snacks or morning-after breakfasts a breeze. A continental breakfast is served daily, and you’re surrounded by countless local eateries — from classic Creole dishes to quick bites. You won’t go hungry, no matter the hour.

Nightlife Options

Located just 1–2 blocks from the heart of Bourbon Street, Quarter House puts you close to some of the best nightlife in the city. Whether you’re into jazz clubs, cocktail lounges, or lively bars, it's all within walking distance. While the hotel itself doesn’t host live music, you’ll be spoiled for choice as soon as you step outside.

What People Say

Guests rave about the location, describing it as “perfect for exploring the French Quarter” and “close to everything.” The suites are often praised for being clean, spacious, and well-equipped, especially the kitchens. Reviewers also highlight the friendly staff and the relaxing pool area as standout features.

Areas for Improvement

Some travelers mention that the 10:00 AM check-out feels a bit early after a late night out. Others note that while the hotel is close to Bourbon Street, it’s still in a quieter area — great for rest, but not ideal if you’re looking for an all-night party vibe inside your hotel.

The Bottom Line

Quarter House offers a charming and convenient home base for concert-goers who want to experience the heart of New Orleans music and nightlife — and still have a quiet, comfortable space to recharge afterward.

Nice hotel in a dangerous...

Liked: In the French Quarter, reasonable prices, large room, king beds (Rare in the quarter).
Disliked: Requested room service, never got it.Staff must start warning guests, that on Saturday nights, the “Jimani” bar about 10 yards away, is a dangerous place for white people to even walk by. It was fine Wednesday-Friday. Saturday night at almost midnight, we’re walking back to our rooms. We turned the corner and were in the middle of crowd of 25-30 black males and females loitering (obstructing passage) on the sidewalk in front of the Jimani bar. The one B/M security guard was busy patting people all the way down for weapons prior to them entering the bar (another bad guy bar warning sign). The street was jammed with traffic so it was not an option to walk around the crowd. We walked through it dodging 18-27 year old males getting high and drunk. I said “excuse me guys” to a B/M wearing a large backpack, as I guided my family (ducks in a row) around him. My wife and 2 daughters heard him say to me, “What the fuck are you doing on our side of town! Your (white people) not supposed to be here!” I’m a Tulsa cop with 33 years of experience. This could have gotten bad, really fast. Similar to the white people recently hospitalized in Cincinnati. A warning from staff, to go around the block the long way to avoid problems, would have been acceptable. This was a very volatile situation. If I would have heard the racist black guy and verbally responded, the large group would have bummed rushed us and hospitalized my family or worse.

Gross.

Liked: The property, once finally in, had a pretty cool historic vibe. Both people up front were nice and helpful. Our room was spacious.
Disliked: Parking is god awful! They don’t have parking of their own so you have to park and walk two blocks away at the Wyndham hotel. It’s $38 to park and valet only. The valet staff is absolutely terrible! After being scrutinized by another hotels valet staff you walk through the back ally’s being heckled by locals trying to scam you out of anything they can, to finally arrive back at the Quarterhouse. Once in the room, we find that the shower heads (double head, one shower) have never been cleaned and might be better off not showering, blood stains on curtains, and hair on bedding and towels. This was literally a step down from our $70 a night La Quinta stay in northern Pensacola. I assume people have beer goggles on while visiting New Orleans, but not us. Never again!
