A short rest and recovery...
Liked: A classic 18th century Bordeaux building, in a perfect location.
Disliked: The bathroom in our room No. 25 looks a bit tired and deserves a refurb.

Safe, clean and well placed...
Liked: Very friendly, small and private. Felt secure. Helpful staff, great location. Non commercial, felt at home.
Disliked: No ice!! Or bottle opener in room!! But that’s it.

Good looking hotel, but not...
Liked: Nice location
Disliked: No lights on stairs. Had to climb stairs in the dark Not placed into the building I booked. I specifically wanted a room in the main building and had booked that. But was placed in another building.

Our stay was dreadful and...
Liked: When in the lift we heard a bang and it broke. We were in it an hour the alarm had no reaction the phone button was a French recorded message. Fortunately I managed to ring the hotel and tell them. I had to ring back to see what was happening. We had a faint hello 30 minutes later from the reception man and again a bit later. There was total lack of concern about our welfare and the lack of air and heat. When we eventually were rescued we were offered a bottle of water and complimentary breakfast. Still no mention of our welfare. Next morning we talked with the receptionist who listened and eventually offered us free parking too. We were on the fourth floor and obviously then had to use the stairs afterwards. On leaving no offer to help with our bags. That night we didn’t sleep at all as the situation has caused great stress and upset. The manager was there next day but failed to come to talk to us. One other thing was a socket hanging off the wall in the hotel to use. This hotel needs to look seriously at there facilities and electrics. I would like a response from the hotel as to what they are going to do regarding my review.
Disliked: The attitude of staff and management in an emergency and stressful situation to us. It ruined our staff and I can’t see how the hotel is a 3 star.
