Poor premises and equally poor...

Liked: Had a restaurant
Disliked: No blind in bathroom or door so light shine in, member of staff told an untruth to 3 couples that we could have breakfast at 8am. He said he would speak to his colleague, all 6 of us waited in the morning only to be told no message. All 6 of us left with no breakfast

Liked: Hot tub after a long drive really saved the stay. The mattress was also comfy for good night sleep. Air conditioning system saved from stuffiness of the summer night and potentially smelly old carpet in the room.
Disliked: The bed itself was very shabby and scratched, the toilet gave some weird smell. Although the room was booked for a couple, somehow we only had one bathrobe and one wine glass in the room. The breakfast was not worth the money at all: there was almost no choice of food: cereals, yogurts, stale bakery and cold stale pancakes, and some canned fruit. In French standards it would be considered absolutely horrible.

Disliked: I booked a family room which inc. ×1 big bed and ×2 small beds, when I arrived I was given a room with ×1 big bed & a cot.When I questioned this with staff the communication (systems) between booking.com & themselves does not match.There were no other rooms available.We had to have ×2 poor quality/comfort 'z beds'.I was also offered a part refund, this has not happened as of yet.

Disappointing service level.

Liked: Town centre location with a few parking spaces. Restaurant on site. Buffet breakfast. Coffee machine in room.
Disliked: More of a restaurant with rooms rather than a hotel. Outside of restaurant opening hours there is no service. Junior suite with shower was ok, but the sitting room furniture was tired. Not even possible to buy a coffee outside of opening hours. Restaurant not open until 7.30 in the evening. No drinks prior to that.

Liked: Breakfast OK, coffee a little underwhelming.
Disliked: Car parking very limited, we just squeezed in, and to leave you have to back out dangerously onto a busy road.

Basic accommodation but with amazing...

Liked: Fairly basic accommodation but in a very popular Auberge. Amazing meal although pretty pricey
Disliked: Semic encapsukates France - most things closed during the day and some such as the Tourist Office up for sale. Hardly surprising as must have been very quiet for any staff!
