This hotel received an average rating because it is need of renovations. The wall paper was peeling in the bathroom. The rug had seen better days, and there was a small hole in the upholstery on the sofa. But, the layout of the hotel room was great. There was a small sitting area with a sofa, chair, desk, and TV. Then the bedroom was next with a door between the two rooms. There was another (smaller) TV in the bedroom. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast that was included was a full american breakfast cooked by a very nice older gentleman. The breakfast made the cost of the room a bargain. Would I stay again, yes! This was $50 cheaper than the hotel I usually stay. I hope renovations are planned in the near future. That would make this my hotel on every trip to Norfolk.

Disliked: Room bathroom dirty wasn’t what I booked on website couldn’t enjoy pool with children because there was grown man drunk at the pool window looking at the little girls telling them to come to him and looking at their private areas in their swimsuits reported it to front desk and he was put out

Liked: Location and price was good.
Disliked: The hallways and general area could be cleaner. The first room we were given had been smoked in by the previous occupant. The staff was kind and gave us another room.

Disliked: Staff gave room number, strangers permission to knock at my door late at night. It caused me mental breakdowns and couldn't sleep and I left early in the night morning. I confronted clerk. They said it wouldn't happen again. They said stranger knew me. It was okay they said

Liked: The rates.
Disliked: Bad bad bad. Got to room reeking to smoke, notified reception. When I got into bed it was wet and most certainly was smelling like urine. They moved me to another room, however totally unacceptable that housekeeping will not check on bed, let alone use same bedding. Never again.
