Disliked: Requested a quiet room but our room was directly across the hall from the door to the stairwell. They also rented out the Pool Area for a birthday party. The noise and dirty Hot Tub made it impossible to relax and enjoy the Pool Area.

Liked: Good location, good value. Bed very comfortable.
Disliked: The new vinyl flooring in the hallways is likely easier to clean and maintain, but it's very loud when you're walking on it. Also, the door to the first floor on the main side of the hotel does not lock, which is not the safest.

Overpriced for the level it...

Liked: Otherwise the hotel was okay but it was incredibly over priced for the level that it is. It is a 3.5-4 star hotel compared to what we normally visit.
Disliked: The pool and hot tub area are long overdue for updates. There is a moldy smell in the pool area. The toilet had a ring of mildew where water meets air. There was no regular coffee, only decaf for a half hour and we left. Breakfast was meh.

Would definitely recommend

Liked: Friendly staff, comfortable and relaxing rooms
Disliked: You can hear everything outside your room from the cars parking to people in the hallway, etc

Liked: Clean and close to Ohio University campus.
Disliked: This is a gripe with booking.com - we paid nearly 2x the amount via Booking.com (including a level genius 3 discount…) to residents who walked into the hotel directly to book. Unfortunately, the property has no ability to manage our booking so it made it seem like the property was ripping us off.. but in actually it’s the 3rd party vendor platform that can be a ripoff. Booking.com isn’t helpful to really find a good deal anymore and instead enjoys hiking up prices to individuals trying to find a place to stay for a night. I have enjoyed using this platform, but this felt so out of left field that I am left to reconsider how helpful this platform is to me moving forward. Thank you.
