Liked: Location
Disliked: Bad service,Check in was thrown my room key across the counter instead of handing it to me. Took a long time to find reservation. Checked into the room was informed the day after I would be charged for my daughter's coming to visit but was never told this as checking in. Room was dirty for was filthy. TV barely worked. After checking out was called by the manager and asked if we took one of their pillows. But there were only three pills on one of the beds when we checked in and out. Return right around after she called to show her our luggage and the inside of our car but she refused to look. She was very unprofessional was very unhappy about her telling me the second day after checking that they are charging if any of the guests have visitors and she told me she seen me and my daughter sitting out by the pool but she never told us from the beginning about this at check-in.

Passable

Liked: The location was great, plenty of food and things to do
Disliked: Hotel staff had entered my room twice while I was there without knocking and the food for the Continental breakfast was terrible, if any was available by 7am

Disappointing

Liked: Location was good for the purpose of our stay in Roanoke.
Disliked: Check-in was not simple. There was confusion among us using booking.com to reserve our room. The staff wanted to take a picture of our credit card information. We had to switch rooms due to blood (we think) being on our sheets when we got ready for bed. It was "hidden" under one of the pillows. Staff did come up to the room to look and let us move rooms. Breakfast was not good. The gravy looked and tasted like water as well as the eggs. The waffle mix was very thin (although the waffle did turn out ok). The juice (apple & orange) both tasted funky. Housekeeping came to clean our room while we were out and took the dirty towels and washcloths but did not replace what they took, leaving us short and no towel for the floor by the shower. Overall, disappointed.

Liked: The location of it, it also smelled cleaned.
Disliked: Room service only came in the morning when we were asleep, and woke us up. They never came again so our room was dirty.

Doubt if we will be...

Disliked: The first night the bathtub had a slick substance on it and I slipped pulling a muscle to keep from falling. All appliances were un -pluged when we got to the room. Couldn't get the bright moving light off the TV screen at night (all night). The beds were not made after the first night.

For a place to sleep...

Liked: Location
Disliked: Rooms need to be updated and smelled like smoke. There was hair in our tub and mold.

It was decent staff was...

Liked: The complementary breakfast was pretty good
Disliked: I know it’s an up-and-coming hotel but there are some major things that need to be fixed. I feel like the carpets need to be steam cleaned in the hallway and in the room. Also, the tile in the bathrooms need to be replaced. Also didn’t receive any notification about a fire alarm testing going on.

I liked the people!

Liked: It was cold and coffee was bad.
Disliked: Floors were not clean room and hallway. The sensor on the outside door didn’t work very well.
