Quality Inn & Suites Port Lavaca near Lighthouse Beach

Liked: The beach is in walking distance. Wonderful boardwalk, another seashell beach close by too. Grocery stores and shopping is also within 5 minutes. The hotel was very comfortable, the beds, the pillows. It was very nice. And good value. They had a good breakfast.
Disliked: There wasn't anything that I didn't like. All around good place and good location.

Wrong room, terrible and slow...

Liked: Almost all carbs and sugar. Waffles, cereal, muffins. Sweetened yogurt. No eggs. No meats. No toaster. No bagels. No cream cheese. Basically a carb continental breakfast.
Disliked: I had asked hotel for lower floor. I didn't make my reservation last minute. I am 69, and had to carry heavy items to 2nd floor.I had provided my usual credit card through my booking. I am a choice member; my info is in the system. The apathetic front desk man entered ALL my drivers license data into the hotel's system - dont think this is legal to scrape my data!! jso sick of the intrusions!

Poor quality room, especially plumbing...

Liked: Went into room - sewer water had backed into sink, then drained. Told staff - but they couldn’t fix that night. Continued problem. Moved to different room. Tub spigot loose from wall in both rooms. Tub floor very slippery. Plastic floor ‘sweats’.

Liked: Continental breakfast selections were great. Friendly staff. Room was big, bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was huge. Will stay there again.
