Quality Inn & Suites Houghton

Would not recommend to stay...

Liked: Friendly staff, location is good
Disliked: Way over priced as they jacked the price up to $350 because of a graduation. Rooms are old , room was not very clean , bathroom tiny , needs updating . Brought our own breakfast as we don’t like fake eggs etc . No shuttle to and from airport , furniture old and very worn even in front lobby .

Liked: Poo, hot tub, and sauna. Friendly staff.
Disliked: The room was fair to average. The were was peeling paint on the walls, bathroom outlet did not work. Beds were not very comfortable. The layout of the hotel is very strange with an addition on the backside. We had 2 rooms and they were spaced on opposite sides of the hotel. There is a ramp and a steep stairwell that takes you to the upper rooms of the hotel. The breakfast was fair to average. It was graduation weekend and the room prices were extremely elevated. In short, we did not get what we paid for.

Great location, great breakfast

Liked: We were really impressed with the breakfast at this hotel. Overall the rooms were nice. Unfortunately it was crowded with college students due to a competition happening at the Michigan Tech campus so the pool was basically unusable, but that is not the hotel's fault.
Disliked: The rooms were a tad small for the amount of people we had staying (3 in each 2 queen bed room). That was our only complaint.
