MEH!

Liked: Room was big, bed was comfortable, girl working the desk for the evening shift was great!
Disliked: When booking, I said 12-1 arrival time. I realize that 3 is standard so I tried to call ahead, but there was no answer. So we went to our event first, unloaded, then went to check in. We got there at 2:30. We travel often & don't usually have trouble checking in a little early. There was a gentleman in line ahead of us who did not have a reservation. The girl at the desk told him he she had a room & gave him a price. He needed to his car, so he told her to take care of us & he would be right back. She asked us if we had a reservation, we said yes, and then she told us we couldn't check in until 3 because she didn't have the cleaned room list yet, but she was going to give the other guy a room. She then proceeded to argue with us saying that he was here first so he got the last room. Technically since our reservation was in months ago, we were first. Any other time a clerk was unsure if they had a room, they would find out & take care of us. She was unwilling to do anything to accommodate. I would have understood had the guy in front of us been told he needed to wait as well, but the simple fact that someone off the street was getting a room before someone who had a reservation is the problem. She didn't even ask our name to check our reservation to see the note on it requesting an early check in. She was probably the one who didn't answer the phone when we tried to call. We had to just walk away from her, go to our event, & check in late at night. While at our event, we called again to make sure they knew we were still coming. A different girl answered who asked our name, and saw the note. We explained what happened earlier, she apologized, & promised to take care of us, which she did fabulously! She is the only thing that redeemed your property that day & should be commended. The other girl needs more training. Room 105, fix the loose hand rails before someone needs them & gets hurt.
