Empty hotel with very loud...

Liked: It was a fast check in
Disliked: With a fairly empty parking lot (maybe 10 cars in the parking lot) and over 200 rooms...they placed our room right next door to someone who had their TV on level 10 from the time we checked in until 2AM when we complained...TWICE. Initially, we thought perhaps the cleaning staff left the tv on. by 1AM it kept us awake. We went down to the desk and the receptionist said they would call up to the room. 15 minutes later, we heard the phone ring next door and no one answered. We went back downstairs to complain and after another 20 minutes, the receptionist came upstairs to our neighbors door and knocked. After knocking loudly and yelling, the person finally answered the door. Around 2:30AM they turned the tv down. Took us another 30-45 minutes to fall asleep. When we checked out, we mentioned this to the new receptionist who told us it was upon us to have asked for a different room. He shared that since it was so loud, all we had to do was ask and they would have moved us. This should have been offered to us upon the first complaint--not at checkout!

Liked: Room was clean price was outstanding and the morning staff was super polite and friendly. Even let me securely store my bike at the hotel while I was shopping at the outlet mall.

Liked: The worst hotel experience in regards to facilities and cleanliness I've had in years.I have stayed here once before and it was a solid, basic overnight stay in a 2 star facility. I was on an upper floor and despite some guests partaking in weed in the parking lot and stinking up the elevator, it was a perfectly ok night's stay in a cost effective travel accomodation. Which is why I booked it again for a mid-trip night's rest.This time was worlds different and to say disappointing is an understatement.All I wanted was a clean bed and a shower and in the first room the shower head was so gross i refused to use it and asked to be moved. The second room I got was at least better in that respect.That said, the gentleman drinking liquor (bottle on ground in front of him) whilst lounging out front on the little bench/chair was a charming welcoming committee of one.The hall on the first floor (both rooms on 1st) featured stained carpet, paint missing off doors, and noise to make a college dorm jealous. The only thing I saw in the first room was that shower head. Went back to bed reassigned immediately.The second room was shabby with - despite a clear nonsmoking policy - multiple cigar tip sized burns on the carpet. There was hair in the drain which I thought was just a crack in the drain cover, a stained duvet cover, a switch plate minus the switch but with all the wires visible thru the empty hole, a dirty window seat cushion, rust on the towel rack, gunk on the closet rail, the ceiling coming down on the surface level behind the curtain, holes in the screen on the window, and limescale built up on the spigot n a lovely shade of green-blue.The aforementioned drain in the shower was about an inch deep from rim to cover and despite it being a handicapped accessible design I managed to slip on the tile and the tile edge of the drain hole mildly injured my pinky toe. I dread to think what someone with any mobility issues might face.

Liked: Breakfast was good. Many options available. When food got low, it was replenished right away. Staff were very helpful and courteous.
Disliked: Sheets were stained. Alarm clock buzzed nonstop so I unplugged it.
