Quality Inn & Suites Ankeny-Des Moines

The girl working on Friday night was great - friendly and motivated. The staff working other times were not as motivated - seemed to be more bothered by requests. It was very difficult to find the entrance to the parking lot (they need a sign). The door by the pool was broken but not locked so when I tried to enter from the outside it started to fall.

Liked: Breakfast was great; room was relatively clean.
Disliked: Outside door did not lock when closed; no cookies as their sign promised; heater made the smoke detector go off and smelled.

Quiet and clean

Liked: It was very very quiet which I appreciated. I always found a parking space even when it was kinda busy.
Disliked: The carpet in my room was really gross. I think it's too old and matted down. I also had to add an extra night and the rate felt really high, and it was higher than the other nights. I was glad to get the room, but would have preferred at the same rate.

Disliked: Eggs would have been nice for breakfast. But breakfast was still good.

Disliked: Bug crawling in the bed, parking lot partially roped off, had to pay $100 security deposit which was never mentioned during my reservation process. Will never stay here again and will never use booking.com again. Terrible first experience.
