Virginia G, Prentiss, visiting Downtown Mobile Tue, 20 January 2015

Disliked: Room key was replaced 3 times; smoke alarm went off when I turned the heater on. The staff was very helpful; the evening young lady moved me to another room and was very helpful in our stay - you have a great employee in her. The hotel is in a great location - we went to a convention in the Mobile Convention Center, which is an easy walk. We would stay again.

Terrible experience the location is...

Liked: The location
Disliked: This was the nastiest hotel I've ever stayed in. We had to change rooms four times. We found hair in the bed in three rooms! Half the light bulbs didn't work and the remote control was missing from our last room. The were frigerator was unplugged and water was all over the floor. There was plastic wrapped around the mattress so the bed was very uncomfortable. We were unable to sleep at all.

A nightmare

Disliked: A 1 night nightmare. Floors were filthy. Desktop had been cleaned around welcome notebook so many times there was a different color on the desk under it. Desktop lamps were rusty and very dirty. A/C didn?t work with thermostat and there were wires hanging out from it. Dresser was old and very beat up. Phone wasn?t even connected. But the worst part was there was NO HOT WATER!! Really?? After a delay with our cruise ship, missing our flight because of that, all we wanted was a hot shower. NOPE. Desk clerk told us she couldn?t do anything about it. Maintenance guy wasn?t there. Manager wasn?t there. When manager finally showed up she did discount our rooms significantly. I really didn?t think that was enough but we needed to get to the airport. Just a nightmare of a stay and wouldn?t recommend this place to anybody. Going to actually dispute charges with credit card company.

This was a very dirty...

Liked: The breakfast was good and had a lot to choose from . The girls at the front next on Thursday morning Jan 16 th were very friendly and nice . To other staff during our stay I cannot say the same .
Disliked: The room was TERRIBLE. The floor was black from being dirty therefore causing our young kids feet to be dirty . There was cigarette ashes in the corner INSIDE our non smoking room . Other parts of the room were completely nasty. To top it off there was mold ALL AROUND our ac unit a clear health violation. When we approached the manager he said there was nothing he could do because we had went through booking we need to contact them and let him no if we can switch rooms per what booking says . There?s clear mold in a room with young yet they can?t move us until we contact booking . This was a $95 stay in room 121.

Disappointing

Liked: Close to the port.
Disliked: The floors in our room were filthy. We walked bare foot in the room and then got in the shower and when the water hit,it turned black. Spots in the sheets where they was not changed out. It?s ok place I guess but not the best at all. I think I will pay the extra money and stay somewhere else next time . Lots of wear and tear on this place and not cleaned properly at all
