Quality Inn Downtown Historic District

Disliked: Room key was replaced 3 times; smoke alarm went off when I turned the heater on. The staff was very helpful; the evening young lady moved me to another room and was very helpful in our stay - you have a great employee in her. The hotel is in a great location - we went to a convention in the Mobile Convention Center, which is an easy walk. We would stay again.

Disliked: Booked a king 3 weeks out got there and they told me they only had double. Put us on 4th floor with no working elevator when there was empty rooms on the first floor. Take a shower get out and walk into other room and your feet would get black.

Classic old historic hotel needing...

Liked: Breakfast was decent. Location was right in the middle of the historic area.
Disliked: Elevators were out and they put us on the 4th floor. When I checked in I almost got the impression they wanted me to go elsewhere. The reality is that there were many empty rooms on the ground floor. Not sure why we weren't offered one of those. Carrying bags up 3 flights of stairs isn't great.

Liked: The breakfast was good. The staff in the breakfast area was great. Kept everything clean and was as friendly as could be.

Avoid if you can

Liked: The location is great and the staff is really kind and hard working. But that is it!
Disliked: Staff is really trying their best but this hotel is due for some major renovations, things do not work properly and keeping the premises clean and working is really hard. I am sad to write such a review but I really had a hard time at this hotel.
