Virginia G, Prentiss, visiting Downtown Mobile Tue, 20 January 2015

Disliked: Room key was replaced 3 times; smoke alarm went off when I turned the heater on. The staff was very helpful; the evening young lady moved me to another room and was very helpful in our stay - you have a great employee in her. The hotel is in a great location - we went to a convention in the Mobile Convention Center, which is an easy walk. We would stay again.

It was ok, we made...

Liked: The room was clean and comfortable, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. We did not eat breakfast that was provided so I can not comment on that.
Disliked: The Motel is outdated and run down. A little overpriced for what you were actually getting. Tv was old and snowy, hard to watch but my husband suffered through it as we only stayed one night. There were missing tiles and broken tiles in the room floor that we stayed in.

Dirty, rude, old, smelly, but...

Liked: The only positive to this hotel was location in relevance to the port.
Disliked: The floors were very dirty. After being in the room for about thirty minutes I looked at the bottom of my feet and they were black as could be. The elevator is janky but the inspection says it is up to date. The air conditioner in the room looked like it was about to fall through the wall. The toilet wouldn't flush plain toilet paper without being flushed two to three times and there was a plunger in a bag next to the toilet. We were supposed to have 2 queen beds and these beds were full beds at best. Very small. Breakfast was not worth the walk across the parking lot and all the employees smelled of marijuana. The room had a foul odor even though upon check in a lady at the desk said to put us in this room because she had just cleaned it so she knew it was ready to go. I would not recommend staying here.

Very Good - 4.0 out of 5

Overall a good experience.

Liked: Everything was fine except the items noted below
Disliked: The air/heater is located FAR TOO HIGH, especially for a handicapped accessible room. I could not see the control buttons to adjust the temperature properly... I certainly couldn't climb on a chair to see the controls that is POOR PLANNING!Also...advertised as free wifi... but was never able to log in...even after clarifying with front desk staff. If a separate account is used for guests, it is obviously not available all over the property. This should be addressed IMMEDIATELY.
