Passable

Liked: Location was good and the staff were courteous and pleasant.
Disliked: We were surprised for the price of our accommodations that there was no elevator. We ended up staying in a dog-friendly unit even though we don’t have a pet because of the challenge of carrying luggage up stairs. And the beds were too soft and the room was too hot at night. We asked the staff to set the temp lower. Again, the staff came to adjust the temp but said it was a new unit. He thought he had fixed the problem, but he didn’t The temp rose during the night. And there were inadequate toiletries. A couple of Kleenex tissues, one small soap for sink, none for tub. Very disappointed in these accommodations.

Frustrating noise above our room

Liked: Good location and modern finish to the decor, nice pool hot tub and sauna. Lovely location on the beach front. Nice touch to offer robes for the kids. Nice molton brown toiletries.
Disliked: Our room was on the second floor (219) and from the middle of the night onward there was clunky mechanical noise coming from the roof. We raised it with the reception pre check out and at check out. No interest shown in coming to the room to hear the noise. I asked for some kind of discount or compensation but the reception staff weren’t empowered to do anything so we left expecting to hear from the manager later that day. I had to chase and then got told we could get money off another stay! Unhelpful. Shame as it’s a nice place but frustrating to not get a decent nights sleep and to not have that recognised.

Liked: Restaurant staff, especially Rebecca and Johnny were excellent, and we would return just to see them again. The hotel room was spacious and very clean. The bathroom amenities were good.
Disliked: Hotel, although recently renovated, has a fair amount of sound transference along the hallways. I thought the front desk staff were aloof.

Liked: The bed was a bit too soft for our preference. And there was a lot of noise from the fridge and air conditioner in the night. We told staff in the morning and they said we should have called the front desk in the morning night and they would have fixed it! But you know . . . In the middle of the night do you really want visitors to your room? We just put up with it. Hope they investigate before the next guests.

Superb

Liked: I wasn’t expecting much for a little roadside hotel, but this far exceeded my expectations. The room itself was pleasant, comfortable bed, nice view. The indoor pool area has a sauna and nicely appointed locker-rooms. There is a pleasant restaurant/bar area. As with the room it is all designed quite nicely, and all just generally better than what I was expecting for the area. Also, as a last note their service is quite good.
Disliked: We liked everything!
