Disliked: The staff were very disinterested and barely spoke to us. We were not advised where the pool and gym was and when I found someone to ask for directions they were very vague. The lift and hallways are very dark and cramped

Liked: The room I had didn't have a desk. Concierge did end up providing one, which was good given i had urgent work meetings.The pool / spa at night wasn't well lit but it did open early and closed late, the pool was also heated and good for lap swimming (max two people). The pool / spa has a completely glass roof hence lack of lighting at night . You did have to walk past the lobby and concierge to get there and back to your room, because it's in another building which was awkward especially when you don't get given complimentary slippers, see below.When I tried to have dinner in the restaurant, I was completely ignored so I just left. Room service is not 24 hours and when I did order within the allocated hours my order was wrong. I stated no egg which was completely disregarded. I had a club sandwich with truffle fries which was a decent portion size but it was $46.My room was overall clean and modern. My bathroom had a tub which wasn't clean I needed to rinse it out but only realised after I filled the tub which was frustrating. There was no full length mirror in my room. However, the bathroom did have a dyson hair dryer. It also had bathrobes, however no complimentsry slippers to match the robes were provided which was so annoying when walking to and from the pool. No complimentary bottled water or any little treats upon arrival was provided.The bed was soft which I liked and the sheets were clean.I was given a late 11.30am checkout on request for no additional charge.The bathroom had body cream, cotton buds and a nail file. No toothbrush or tooth paste were provided. .The hotel also doesn't have a business centre. So if you need a space to work you'll have to ask for a desk if you don't have one already in your room.

Liked: Location and art
Disliked: Very run down, no longer the hotel that is full of pride. Reception sewing up own pants at counter, unable to turn off fan meaning the noise vibrates the room all night. Phoned for Maintanence to help but couldn’t fix. Staff no longer friendly like good ol days. Look like it’s just a job. Complete opposite at Auckland QT and Gold Coast QT. Would not go back now :(

Liked: Location was excellent and beautiful art deco style throughout the motel were amazing. Great bar and restaurant downstairs. Staff at check in, breakfast and the lobby bar were very friendly.
