Nice location, nice hotel- just...
Liked: Location was good- a little bit of the QT quirkiness we live but more standard than other QT hotels. Staff didn’t know how to apply the evt loyalty program
Disliked: Pool area was closed for a special event one night. Every day not enough loungers around pool to be able to have a swim and lie down -yet they had empty private areas for a stupid price considering we were only going to be at the pool for an hour or so- disappointing

Disappointing.
Disliked: I went there to escape Cyclone Alfred. I’m 80 years old. Initially the service was excellent. However, at 5 am, without much sleep, I rang the front desk to ask to extend my stay one more night. The night manager told me that I wasn’t permitted to extend my stay as “for safety reasons they weren’t permitting any guests to extend”. 3 hours later I ordered my morning coffee. Again, virtually no sleep. I found out that he had lied to me. I packed up. I called the day manager and demanded that she come to my room. I told her that I knew he’d lied to me. I asked her why. She said he’d been “tired”. Upon checkout, I also found out that not only had he lied, but also indeed my room had already been booked by me already for another night. I’m in the lobby, totally exhausted, under incredible stress and she said I could go back to my room! This is supposedly an International hotel! As compensation for their screw ups I was given a $100 discount. The “discount” is indeed ridiculously insulting!!! My health has suffered greatly. She admitted to me that the night manager had lied to me plus had in fact not advised me the truth that I was booked for another day anyway. I emphatically expressed my displeasure with their extremely poor so called international service. She promised me that she would take up my complaint with upper management and that they’d email me. I haven’t received any emails from the QT Surfers. If you book an International hotel, you expect service. You expect at the bare minimum honesty. Cyclone Alfred was of historic proportions. Anyone, at any age, would be under tremendous stress experiencing a force of nature like this….let alone an 80 year old woman. My daughter lives in America and owns a very high level concierge business in the snow skiing town of Park City, Utah. She handles properties that rent out for 20,000 to 30,000 per day. She seamlessly does this through white out snow blizzards. She drives through blizzards to attend to everything.
