Disliked: Form over function meant the room may have looked good but was hopelessly impractical in many ways. The lighting and dark colours meant it was very difficult to find controls etc. The mirror had no light for putting on make- up or basic hair tidying. There was a hair dryer but no plug in the bathroom or even near the hall mirror.No rail to hang towels except a small one literally next to the toilet , which had no lid. The main lights when turned off meant that the bathroom light didn’t switch on in the middle of the night

Would definitely recommend to friends...

Liked: When we checked in we mentioned we were staying for our 25th anniversary. When we went onto our room there was a bottle of bubbles, some sweet goodies and a lovely hand written card. Was so thoughtful and made our night. Was super special.
Disliked: No wifi in room. Was not offered a password at all.

It was a nice hotel...

Liked: The property was really central and nice and clean
Disliked: The rooms were extremely dark there was very little lighting , the staff were not helpful at all and there was no out of the way help given . For example we had a tour booked and we were getting picked up at 6.45 am breakfast was included in our room rate so I asked if I could get a coffee to take away and maybe fruit or a pastry that we could grab and go and the answer straight away was NO , it’s not takeaway . Even when I went down for breakfast I ordered a coffee for my husband to take back to the room for him and they tried to charge for it .

Liked: Extremely comfortable, spacious and well appointed rooms. Slick but cozy aesthetics and friendly staff. Great all round, 5 stars!

A bit special

Liked: It was our wedding anniversary - 30 years. So we wanted to do a little something special. The bed was to die for and I loved the shower and bathroom. The young lady said she did not have our room number on her breakfast tariff and that it was likely we had to pay extra. I told my husband, it had been quite expensive for one night and I was sure breakfast had been included. It was! But apart from the pouring rain which made me want to stay in the bed all day, it was lovely.
Disliked: The Weather - but not your fault!!
