Disappointing and not worth the...

Liked: The location is great. Beautiful views.
Disliked: I had continuous issues with a smoke alarm going off in my room. Staff were not helpful. I changed rooms 3 times in 48 hours. Did not get any sleep. Breakfast was cold and inedible.

Liked: Natural environment and history. Walking and no vehicles a bonus
Disliked: Cold buffet breakfast, 8.00am slot but crowded and "hot" was not....so book early breakfast.

Liked: Location is, of course, superb. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Disliked: On arrival we found that, presumably, a brush turkey had found chocolate and sugar sachets and littered the powder and paper all over the floor. One of the bedside lights wouldn't work nor could it be revived by a staff member and the heater in the bedroom wouldn't work, despite staff member trying to get it on, until it inexplicably came on as we were about to get up.Our biggest concern, however, is about the lack of follow up by staff over a missing cashmere jumper. We realised it was missing when we got home and immediately phoned to report it missing and likely to have been left in either our rooms or in the breakfast hall. I was promised they'd check and phone me back. Not having received a response I called again the next day and was given the same promise. There has still been no response. The jumper was certainly in the room as I remember taking it off on Thursday night. It being cool and rainy on Friday morning I may have carried (certainly not worn) it to breakfast and left it on my chair, but I can't be certain of that.I do find it disturbing that the jumper may not have been found and I would love to have a response.

We felt we were a...

Liked: Great location. We sat behind the beach with a bottle of red, watching the sun set. Very restful.
Disliked: The rooms were a bit warm after a hot day, and there was only a fan for cooling. On a hotter day,, it would have been unpleasant.
