Q Station Sydney Harbour National Park

Gorgeous nature and close to...

Liked: I loved the location - at the edge of Sydney, and yet immersed in nature. Might not be fore everyone as you need to take a (free) shuttle bus that goes about 6 times a day to get into Manly (or public bus which runs more frequently), but personally i preferred to be in the nature and have all the beautiful sights and sounds. I was lucky to get room 104, which was charged as a room without a view, but actually did have a bit of a view - i think most of the non-harbour view rooms don't have a view at all.
Disliked: The Boilerhouse restaurant in the evenings - we went there the first night and ate and everything was fine, but the other three times we turned up there they had either stopped serving, closing, or closed, due to not enough customers. Ok, one time we got there after 9, but the other two times we were there before or just after 8pm so seems a bit wrong. We ordered food through Uber Eats instead, but beware - it can take a long time. Our pizza took an hour and turned up cold!

We actually stopped and relaxed...

Liked: It was a fabulous historic site and the hotel conversion was great - sensitive and faithful. We were right next to the former first class dining room, now a guest lounge - divine.
Disliked: It’s not that I didn’t like it but be aware: we came from work and only had half an hour to check in and get to the restaurant for our booking - but we needed an hour to remove stress. In fact - I would come in the afternoon if possible so you aren’t arriving in the dark and getting on and off the frequent shuttles in total confusion about where you are! It’s an active sort of place - if you aren’t too flexible ask for the bus with a step to help you get in!

Impressive facilities, beautiful location

Liked: All good. Q-station is a very large facility with plenty of surprises. Room very quaint.
Disliked: Hard to find our room in the dark but the hotel staff helped us find it.

Lovely oasis away from the...

Liked: Lovely verdant location and bush/harbour views
Disliked: Hard to know how often the shuttle buses were coming.

Superb

Liked: Breakfast is amazing . Lot of options to choose. Beach near by was excellent and we had great sweet memories to take away.
Disliked: There is no enough blankets and was not clean we felt.

Pretty good

Liked: Great location. Huge room.
Disliked: Not 100% clean. We’d accidentally booked a room without a bathroom and it was a bit of a walk at night to it

Not worth the money

Liked: Only the location
Disliked: The facilities, lack of cleanliness and the staffs customers service. Plus the room was uncomfortable and lack of ventilation, in addition to the restaurant experience was terrible.

Liked: Beautiful grounds and views, peaceful amongst nature and the wildlife and interesting history
Disliked: No kitchenette, door handles very low and accessible to children without ability to lock
