Liked: Honestly this place needs to spend some money on updating it and proper maintenance, The photos show a lovely balcony which is why we booked- on arrival the doors are locked and can’t be opened due to “safety concerns” this needs to be properly signposted. Breakfast is not good at all. You think you’ll save some cash by booking breakfast because- how bad can it be!? Please don’t add breakfast and just go find it elsewhere. The rooms are nice- spacious with really big beds. But it needs proper attention. Lights are all bright white with no low lighting. Light by the door is on a sensor so if you get up in the night the light comes on!? Why?! The bathroom led mirror light is always on and doesn’t turn off- that would be okay if the sliding door didn’t take an almighty push to open- wakes you up nicely every time! Shower leaks all into the room so the floor is always sopping wet. TV is unusably slow. Air con makes an ominous haunted house sound so don’t bother using that- but you’ll need to because the door doesn’t open! There’s a little window above the external door- locked too and staff won’t open it. For the money why not just use air bnb? I suppose that’s exactly why people are doing that. Spend some money on this hotel and bring it up to standard it will be great again. Also the most recent reviews are clearly fake or done by staff!

Liked: Location good for Wimbledon
Disliked: Front of hotel scruffy. Breakfast poor. No fresh fruit to go with cereal only tinned. Room had many faults. No toilet seat. Flooded bathroom when you shower. Heavy bathroom door that didn’t slide easily. Heavy mirror on dressing table was only leaning on wall - not attached.

Liked: Room big and spacious
Disliked: Pulled covers back and there were someone's else's hairs on the bed! Buzzing noise from outside all night. Very expensive!

Great Stay made better by...

Liked: The location was great for amenities and Christina the receptionist was exceptional and couldn't do enough for us, she made the stay
Disliked: Because it was right on the main road the taxi could not pull up in from and with my mum being in a wheelchair we had to go to the corner

Disliked: Asked receptionist to call us 2 taxi, she ordered private ones instead of black cabs. Nearly missed our flight, also did not appreciate her telling the drivers are 'BLACKS"...Just checked out so she knew our names!Christina I think she was called, Eastern European person...was quite racist.

Nice hotel in need of...

Liked: Staff were excellent… there only ever seemed to be one person at a time on shift, covering all manner of jobs, yet they all coped spectacularly well. Room was beautifully decorated, clean and a good size. Lovely bathroom design. First impressions were good.
Disliked: A section had been broken off the bottom left corner/edge of the wall mirror in our bathroom - it left sharp edges and pointed ends, just above the sink. Transpired this had been reported already, yet not removed or covered over to make it safe until it could be replaced. The touch light around this mirror couldn’t be switched off, leaving a glow all night - but at least it meant the dangerous part couldn’t be accidentally forgotten. There was very low water pressure in the shower, but nice warm water.
