Liked: Size of room was great. Staff were very friendly and approachable. Decor was nice. Shower had a nice pressure. Room quite clean.
Disliked: Ageing. Reading lights didn't work. Very poor lighting by dressing table. En suite door very hard to slide shut. Wardrobe door needed fixing (and was fixed by staff). Breakfast was bit lack of choice. Shower was virtually a flat floor, so water crept all the way to sink. Window was ajar in 1 of our rooms, and couldn't be shut even by staff - Room was changed to a smaller room but no partial refund offered. Very noisy toilet flush system. All doors (rooms and corridors) need slow gentle closers on them.

Disliked: Nobody on reception. Had to wait 10 minutes for someone to come. However she was very friendly and we were able to check in early.In the room there were no drinking glasses or water. Annoying light kept coming on at night. Tv wouldn’t work.

The most annoying hotel I’ve...

Liked: The bed was very large and comfortable (it was a hard bed).
Disliked: I have traveled extensively but this hotel is one of the worst I have stayed in for the price. A premier inn would be way more comfortable for the money because this hotel room just has so many issues that could be easily fixed but the management are obviously unbothered. Firstly, their phone number doesn’t work - so you can’t get hold of anyone. Upon arrival, my room was so hot- as other customers said. What’s frustrating is that they have air vents (which won’t work) and air conditioning (which they said doesn’t work). It had huge balcony doors, but they told me they don’t have the key and aren’t allowed to open them for air(?). So there’s basically no air coming into the room whatsoever. They provided a very small desk fan and that was it. This has clearly been an issue for a long time since many other people said the same in their reviews. I eventually asked to move into another room where there were two very small windows that opened. I don’t know how people cope in the summer.The TV had no signal in the first room, and also the same in the second room I moved to. So you can’t watch any TV at all. Even a basic travelodge has a functioning tv with a few channels!Secondly the room was dirty with ripped curtains. The furnishings are very worn and there was a dead dried up spider on the floor. The bathroom was clean but I could see cobwebs in the corners of the room.As others said, the lighting is awful. If you need to do makeup, you’ll end up standing by a window trying to awkwardly apply it with a small compact mirror because the mirrors are located in a place with NO light and no plugs for hair dryer/hair iron so you can’t see what you’re doing properly with your hair. The room has been planned without any thought as to where plugs, lighting or mirrors should be which makes the whole experience frustrating. The bathroom is big but the floor is slippery and I nearly slipped on it wearing socks. Also has a dim light that won’t switch off at night.
