Great breakfast and staff but...
Liked: Breakfast was excellent and all the staff friendly and helpful. The building itself is elegant and centrally positioned, great for exploring the town.
Disliked: The room was clean and the bed comfortable but it was a very small room. A 'standard double' but really more like a single.

Restaurant and Food is excellent....
Liked: The restaurant was excellent with a delightful terrace to the rear which was beautifully fitted out including, plants, candles, fresh flowers and rugs on the back of the chairs. The breakfast was also excellent. Beautifully cooked, hot, as ordered and to a high standard.
Disliked: We paid what I would consider a very high price of £403.00 for one night in a nice but basic room. No beams as was mentioned in the description of the bedrooms, no safe, no fridge, no ice, no biscuits, no phone, no usb points, no iron, no ironing board, no shower cap. Basic furniture, plastic pendant shades, marks on curtains, fully opening large sash window even though we were on the second floor. Dirty loft hatch.Ensuite painted white with unframed mirror and plastic toilet brush screwed to the wall and a horribly furry, clogged up extractor. No air conditioning, just a fan on the floor that was so loud we had to turn it off to try and get some sleep but it was stifling. Some of these points may seem picky but at over £400 night I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect a slightly higher standard of room.
