Pullman Melbourne On the Park

Exceptional

Comfortable but overpriced.

Liked: Pullman on the Park is a beautiful, well-appointed property staffed by helpful champions. I’ve enjoyed every stay I’ve ever had here.
Disliked: The size of the room, a boxy but otherwise big standard standard single space hotel room, was billed as an executive suite and priced accordingly. There are extra trimmings like lounge access and breakfast, true, but I didn’t get to enjoy any of those due to the awkward timing of my duties on the trip. Though the room was certainly fine, the kind of room one would expect to find on a lower floor, it was ultimately not worth the $400+ I paid for it. I doubt I’ll be booking one of those suites again.

Disliked: Bed sheets were dirty and room service that I ordered was delivered cold

Liked: The room was good value for money. Well located.
Disliked: The room heating / Aircon was stuck on 19.5c making it very cool. I called reception who sent and engineer to fix. The problem was resolved by the engineer. The room had a lack of information on how things worked, so I thought it was something I had or had not done that was causing the heating problem.

Liked: Staff where lovely.
Disliked: bed was uncomfortable, aircon was not cold enough - very stuffy in the room. Shower drainage was terrible, water went everywhere but down the drain.
