Superb

in the end a pleasant...

Liked: I was situated in the side wing of the hotel facing Burggrafenstrasse which really is a quiet street and as there is an another entrance to this street it was super convenient. I also liked the breakfast and especially the gym – wide variety of machines.
Disliked: It’s just the thing with deposit. I really don’t like to come to a hotel (that I paid in advance) and the first thing you hear is that you need to pay a deposit. And not only that – you are told that the deposit is 50 € per day. After this intro you feel like you just came to the hotel to demolish it … Moreover there was no information about the deposit on the Booking profile and the room equipment was totally standard. It happened sometimes that I was asked a deposit in a 4* hotels (I usually use) but not this way. Besides it is usually 50 or 100 € not “50 € per day“. Another thing is that the spa area was more like a kids‘ playground in the evening. This might be ok but in that case the hotel should not advertise on its web that it is sort of a quiet zone after 5 PM. And the last thing - the shower was probably the smallest I have ever used. I would not expect such a size in a hotel of this category.

Great hotel, location, gym, swimming...

Great location with amazing staff...

Liked: Location was excellent, as were all the staff we interacted with.The hotel lobby and hallways are very decorative and impressive. Certainly has the wow factor.The bedrooms are reasonable with the beds being moderately comfotable.
Disliked: The airconditioning is below average. It was only 22C max during our stay and it was still impossible to get the room cool. Opening a window was more impactful than the AC that we left running 24 hours a day.The tea / coffee provided to the rooms is lacking. There just are not enough tea bags and there is no milk provided at all (UHT or fresh which could be left in the mini fridge). There should be more pillows available in the rooms also.
