Neglegent, dangerous and disgraceful

Liked: Fire Safety was non existent. Gross negligence across the board, the fire alarm sounded and the fire escape door needed force to open. Then at the designated fire exit the gate was blocked and the only way to escape was through the building. The alarm went on for over an hour, no fire brigade was phoned. None of the staff were even at the designated fire exit. I am a trained fire marshal, when I raised my concerns the staff seemed bewildered. One said it was her second day and she hadn’t received fire training, the others didn’t know that everything that occurred was DANGEROUS let alone illegal and negligent. Throughout the fire the staff were being coached by a volunteer who had been staying at the hostel. After Grenfell and Dagenham this was truly disappointing.
Disliked: If I could attach videos of the fire escapes not working I would

A good stay + good...

Liked: Location is great - close to Waterloo Station, Lambeth Station and Lambeth bus stop. The industrial fans in each room are LIFE SAVERS in the heat of summer, plus help as white noise.Outlets in the bar area to sit and work. Veggie burger was pretty tasty.Staff overall was pleasant and helpful.I extended my stay quite a few times here and stored my luggage with them through the Bounce app (super convenient).Great pastries & coffee near by at Chocolate Dino & very nice latte at Beeyond.
Disliked: You cannot fully sit up in the bunks, which is rough on the lowest bunk.Bathrooms could use some hooks on inside of the door.
