Very pleasant vacation.

Liked: Convenient to Old Sturbridge Village and Hwy 84. Large room, firm beds, fresh air, view of the woods, complimentary bake shop breakfast, dinner in historic dining room, waiter Nathan. Front desk and bake shop personnel. Reasonable cost.
Disliked: Difficulty making reservations for dinner in historic dining room.

Liked: We have traveled to many places in our world and Publik House stands out as one of the friendliest, cleanest, loveliest, most comfortable in which we have EVER stayed. They were very busy with a wedding and preparations for Easter, but we received a room upgrade - a nice surprise! The room was gorgeous and spotless with 2 huge Queen beds and colonial furnishings! Elevator to 2nd floor made climbing steps irrelevant... AND THE BEST-EVER BAKERY ANYWHERE, including France! Can you imagine coffee and light flaky pastries as a complimentary breakfast AND bags to take some along?? Just go there and see for yourself. We will definitely return when Sturbridge Village opens!!! We couldn't stay to enjoy what looked like a grand buffet Easter dinner this time. I want to dine in the PUMPKIN room with the fireplace... but we will be back soon to enjoy the perfect flowering grounds!!
Disliked: Honestly, the view of the property next door was puzzling.

Not your ordinary hotel.

Liked: We loved the quaintness, cleanliness and comfort of this facility. It was like stepping back in time. Breakfast was "sweet" and so was the lady working behind the counter. We hope we get a chance to stay here again.
