Good location.

Liked: I had a room to stay in with my family. It was hot since they hadn't switched to spring/summer mode, according to them. However, they did send an engineer up to turn off the heat, which was greatly appreciated. Otherwise, we would have baked. It is in a convenient location. You are close to the capitol building, Brown and JWU, the Amtrak station, the convention center, and Providence Place Mall. There are a lot of different cuisines around-- likely a result of the culinary school students sticking around to pursue their ventures.
Disliked: The room wasn't exactly clean when we arrived. There was some leftover trash in the couch, chairs, and even the bed-- which was the most concerning. There were old vape pens everywhere. Because of this, we requested new sheets and changed the beds ourselves. Another outcome was that we ended up at CVS after check-in to pick up some cleaning wipes to clean the bathroom, tables, remotes, etc. I could have said something, but I am not that type. If I can fix it, I won't fuss. In this particular case, I should have drawn the line on day 3 when we found two additional vape items in the chair and what I can only assume is a slim jim on the floor by the bed.

Comfortable and centrally located with...

Liked: We had a lovely size room in a remarkable hotel, with a small, comfortable lounge space and plenty of space for the three of us. The bathroom was a reasonable size although considering the size of the rest of our room it felt slightly small... but was more than adequate. The hotel felt like it was in the centre of the city and was well located for all that we needed, the lobby is clearly a bit of a gem and we ventured up to the top floor to have a look at the incredible ballroom and see the spectacular views from the top floor. The car park was just behind the hotel and very easy to get to and from.
Disliked: The double beds felt a little narrow, but we had two of them in our room for three and they were very comfortable.

Lovely hotel, excellent location, value...

Liked: Excellent location. Historical details, well maintained.
Disliked: Booking.com description of the hotel incomplete.DELUX KING- Hotel room does not have air conditioning.Description mentions:Private bathroom. However bathroom dimension is extremely small. There is a shower but no bathtub. Has one small narrow shelf to place toiletries which is barely enough for one person's items. One small basin with no counter and the very small dimension of the bathroom renders this bathroom functional for one person only.Hotel room is good size, but has no cabinet or available drawers to store clothes. No sac available for dirty clothes as is customary in other hotels.Hotel charges 50 $ on credit card on arrival at reservation counter for any "incidentals" or "damage" to the premises and $ is refunded after 3 business days after end if hotel stay.

Pleasant

Liked: Location, building
Disliked: They shouldn’t put parking as an amenity when the parking is external and not included in the price. I specifically filtered for places that had parking but in the end had to go to a parking nearby and pay the daily flat rate of 35$. Only if you go into the fine print so you find out parking is not included.

Overall excellent experience

Liked: Location was great - so central to Brown, restaurants and train station
Disliked: I had really wanted to go in the sauna. It was one of the reasons I booked with you. I knew the spa opened at 10 so I went down all excited and they said the sauna in the spa didn’t open until 12. I was bummed and had to checkout
