Princes Lodge Motel

A lovely place to stay.

Liked: Lovely quiet residential area and very easy walk to the free connector bus and O'Connell St. Easy check in and great to be on ground floor. Nice to have refrig and everything very clean and comfy. Breakfast a special bonus .old building with lots of character and great with park outlook..would stay there again.
Disliked: If I had to find something maybe the bathroom smallish but it was only a single room.

Lovely old home that was...

Liked: The beds we’re comfortable and the place was clean. Parking was good and location was perfect for our visit
Disliked: The rooms were very cold on arrival, the heating wasn’t turned on in advance.There was a very stern sign about the timing for breakfast “7-10 ONLY”On our last morning we got down a couple of minutes before 7 as we had a flight to catch.The room was in darkness, the urn and coffee machine were not turned on. No hot water , no bread for toast. About ten past seven a staff member arrived put some bread out and made himself a cup of coffee, which he could only do because I turned the urn and coffee machine on. Had the coffee machine not had hot water people wanting tea would have had to miss out.The breakfast was very basic, but if you are going to offer it, and you are going to clearly state the times it’s available, it should be ready at that time not 10 or 20 minutes later.

Huge bargain, amazing location

Liked: The location is outstanding. It’s a really nice big old house with nice original features. It’s a little tired around the edges but nothing bad at all. We had a double room with private external bathroom and this is totally fine - you just use your room key for your bathroom. Amazingly a nice basic breakfast is provided which we really appreciated. 5 mins round to O’Connell Street which had some great looking places and 20 mins and you’re at the Botanical Gardens/Adelaide University area. Really great. Would stay again
Disliked: The room was a little cold when we arrived (everywhere has been, maybe because we’re travelling in winter. No room heating very common) and the heater was noisy. But a lovely big blanket was in the wardrobe so we were fine. Some of the soft furnishings need replaced but ultimately everything was clean and comfortable.
