Wonderful stay in this beautiful...

Liked: The character of this old hotel makes it a must stay option. Lounge area with 2 fires is wonderful and enjoyed by many while we were there. It's renovated through out .. just beautiful. Very central for restaurants, hot pools etc.
Disliked: Nothing to not like

Liked: Beautiful apartment with plenty of space and character, clean and comfortable, staff all friendly, excellent location, stayed there a few times and it’s always so good

Exceptional

Liked: Beautiful hotel with so much charm. We loved all the historical details. Everything was spotless and well cared for, and the beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable. We really enjoyed relaxing in the lounge with a drink, the fireplaces and comfy seating made it so cosy. The staff were all a pleasure to deal with, and we’re already looking forward to our next stay.

Liked: We've enjoyed this place previously and chose to come back because of it. Great accommodation in the annex (we like the separate studio/apartments) and were pleased being able to use the Polynesian Spa

Highly recommend, very cool location.

Liked: The location was amazing. We had an estate room and it was very good, a bit unusual having to go outside on a veranda to get to the room but it was mostly okay (apart from when it was blowing a gale and raining). We didn't eat at the restaurant, however we did get some drinks and sit in their lounge which was really nice to do.
Disliked: We would have liked advance warning that the carpark was completely unavailable due to works going on.

Central and convenient location. Warm,...

Liked: Really nice and central location. Easy walk to the lake, hot pools and into town. Rooms were really warm and comfortable. Staff have been very helpful and fast to respond to emails.
Disliked: Unfortunately the private pools at the hotel were still out of order, but the hotel did compensate with a complimentary pass to the nearby (5min walk) hot pools.
