Staff were amazing - had such a great time! Food was great. Rooms were very big. Breakfast was fresh with a wide range of cereals and toast; full english breakfast as well.

All in all it was...

Liked: Staff very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast a little small but very tasty. Comfortable bed.
Disliked: Entrance to hotel opens straight in to the busy bar area where everyone stared, a little intimidating. Large cobweb between bed cover and bedside cabinet. Bathroom in poor state, paint kept coming off the wall whilst we were showering and was then all over the bathroom floor. Too many calls to my mobile number from reception at unsociable hours.

Hotel with potential but operating,...

Liked: The room was a chalet, separate from main building which meant that you could sit outside if you pleased, although it was a bit cold the night we stayed. The room was spacious and had all that you needed for a nights stay. Meg, who was on duty when we arrived was helpful, talkative and we all had a good laugh when we went into the bar for our Happy Hour drink or two in the evening.
Disliked: Bed was very soft and uncomfortable, with a very cheap and thin mattress and the pillows were the type, that with one it was not enough but with two, it was too much. The fan was so noisy and came on when you turned the bathroom light on, meaning that we both woke up each other when we got up in the night. Breakfast came in polystyrene take out containers which you collected from reception at you chosen time, when the cook phoned us and said it was ready. When we opened our breakfast, most of the food was lukewarm except for the baked beans, the bacon was rock hard and was more like eating pork scrathching's and the egg was like rubber. We arrived at the hotel at 1.30pm like we had informed them we would but found the hotel closed when we arrived. It opened at 4.30pm.
