Disliked: Disappointed in the restaurant - would have liked to have had a hot breakfast away from my room.

Very good

Liked: Rooms were big and clean. Staff were helpful. Close to all the attractions and cheap parking. On-site restaurant for dinner and breakfast had lots of choice and big portions.
Disliked: Long queue for check in.

It was an easy place...

Liked: I think this is the only hotel in Springfield because it was packed. It was a good location for the State Fair.
Disliked: The rooms were not ready at 4:30 - they weren't ready until 6 PM! The area around the hotel was shady, it looks like a walking dead city. I can't believe the capitol of IL is that run down.

. The staff was courteous...

Liked: Cedric and Gary were awesome. I truly enjoyed rhe wings and my cocktail in the Globe. The bartender was great

Good choice for Springfield downtown

Liked: The location if you want the downtown. Few steps to the museum and Lincoln home. The room is spacious and clean. The hotel is looking historical.
Disliked: The hotel is very old so renovations in some areas and furnuture are needed.
