The Spotlight on Premier Inns Tolleson

Affordable Comfort Close to Phoenix's Live Music Scene

Premier Inns Tolleson is a no-frills, budget-friendly hotel located in Tolleson, Arizona, just off I-10 and under 15 miles from downtown Phoenix and major concert venues. With simple, air-conditioned rooms that include a mini-fridge and private bathroom, this motel-style property offers a clean and convenient base for catching a show without breaking the bank.

Guests can unwind between gigs at the outdoor pool and hot tub, or get practical things done with the on-site laundry facilities and business center. With Sky Harbor International Airport only 14 miles away, it’s also a handy option for out-of-town travelers flying in for that big night.

Why Concert-goers love it

The location is ideal for fans attending shows at the University of Phoenix Stadium and Phoenix Raceway—both are within a short drive. The hotel’s 24-hour front desk makes late-night check-ins a breeze after a long encore, and the rooms are tucked away in a quieter area, offering a peaceful spot to recharge. Parking is free and plentiful, so there's no stress if you're driving in.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for an affordable crash pad
  • Solo travelers heading to a must-see concert
  • Couples wanting a low-key weekend escape
  • Fans needing a quiet place to recover post-show
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who prefer to spend on tickets, not lodging

Food and Drink Options

While there’s no on-site restaurant, the area offers several fast food and casual dining spots within walking distance. With a mini-fridge in every room, it’s easy to keep snacks or leftovers handy. Breakfast options are close by, making it simple to fuel up after a late night out.

Nightlife Options

This isn’t a party hotel, but that's part of the appeal for concert-goers who want to wind down. However, bars and local hangouts are just a short drive away in Phoenix, where the nightlife scene is vibrant and varied.

What People Say

Guests frequently highlight the clean rooms, affordable rates, and friendly service. Reviews also mention the location's convenience for both downtown Phoenix and nearby music venues. The pool and hot tub are welcome amenities in the Arizona heat, and travelers appreciate the easy parking and low-maintenance check-in process.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests note that the furnishings are a bit dated, and the motel layout means less privacy or noise insulation compared to higher-end hotels. There’s no on-site restaurant or bar, so you’ll need to venture out for meals and nightlife.

The Bottom Line

If you're looking for a clean, hassle-free place to stay near Phoenix concert venues without blowing your budget, Premier Inns Tolleson hits the right notes.

Fine place to stay; just wish there was a fridge and maybe two chairs in the large empty room. Room advertised online at $67 but was $122.

Liked: Staff was nice and helpful. Bed was comfortable.
Disliked: Room was a bed, one hard chair, and a desk with a large empty space; very empty and uninviting.

Do not stay here unless you just don't care. Outside the shower door there was serious water damage that made the carpet near bed damp. They don't put plastic liners in trash cans. The curtain had holes in it. The ottoman had a questionable and suspicious looking "SKID MARK" on it. They DON'T provide in room hair dryer OR coffee makers. They DO have coffee and donuts in the Lobby, yippee!

Liked: The distance to Ak Chin Pavillion was perfect - you could walk to the concert.
Disliked: This hotel needs a lot of work.

Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

The price and distance to the Ak Chin Pavilion was the best thing about the room. Other than that, the carpet was disgusting. My kids' socks were black after a few hours walking in the carpet. The bathroom was dirty with trash still on the floor. There was stuff all over the walls by the bed, which looked like blood. Worst thing was the carpet. Also waking us up at 2am to fix our A/C, in which we never called to say it was broken.

Liked: A/C worked good.
Disliked: Very dirty room.

This hotel needs to be torn down and rebuilt from the ground up. It was utterly disgusting. We have never smelled a worse smelling room. The odor was so foul that we didn't make it more than 2 steps into the room and had to turn around and get a refund. Apparently this must happen often as there was no question at the front desk about it. I can't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Liked: There was nothing good about this hotel; once we checked in and checked our room we promptly turned around and got a refund and left.
Disliked: This hotel was disgusting! I have never smelled a more foul smelling room. We didn't even make it more than 2 steps into the room before having to turn around and leave.

We stayed the night here so we could attend a concert at AK-Chin and be within walking distance which it was and very easy to get to. The room we had was dated, not very welcoming but sufficient for the night. The bathroom was another story - squeeze in, shut the door then sit and look at the walls or floor which were covered with who knows what. We were up at 5 the next morning to leave and shower at home. For the price we paid (around $85 with tax), we could have taxi'd to and from home - lesson learned!

Liked: Close proximity to AK-Chin.
Disliked: Bathroom was disgusting - don't think the walls have ever been wiped down. There was blood and who knows what else all over the walls.

Carpet was filthy. Needs upgraded TV's; pool gross.

Liked: Shower area.
Disliked: Pool was nasty - dirty; hot tub not working; staff rude.
